The Tuthill GT ONE is a limited-run, road-focused sports car inspired by the FIA GT1 racing era and the look of the Porsche 911 GT1. It is Tuthill’s own project—not a reborn Porsche or a new Porsche model. Tuthill announced it on 16 August 2024 with a 4.0-litre flat-six, a choice of naturally aspirated or forced-induction power, and a stated production limit of 22 cars.
What is the Tuthill GT ONE?
The GT ONE is a bespoke road car conceived by Richard Tuthill and client Elliot Ross, whom Tuthill described as a film producer and car collector. California-based designer Florian Flatau led the styling and aesthetic design. Tuthill presented the project as a road-going interpretation of the FIA GT1 era, when manufacturers built striking competition cars alongside road versions.
The car’s name and appearance invite comparison with the Porsche 911 GT1, but that is a matter of inspiration, not identity. Tuthill is the maker of the GT ONE. Its 2024 announcement does not establish a shared platform or parts relationship with Porsche. Tuthill’s launch announcement describes the project; Tuthill’s special-projects portfolio provides broader context for its bespoke work.
How is it connected to the Porsche 911 GT1?
The Porsche 911 GT1 is the historical reference point, not the GT ONE’s manufacturer. Porsche says the 911 GT1 race car debuted in 1996, and its road-going Strassenversion arose from homologation requirements. Porsche’s history describes early cars as drawing on 993-era 911 elements and the 962 race car’s rear, while later versions adopted 996-era design cues. That racing-to-road-car story helps explain the era Tuthill is revisiting; it does not make the GT ONE a continuation of Porsche’s car. See Porsche’s history of the 911 GT1 Strassenversion.

Engine, power and transmission choices
Tuthill announced a 4.0-litre flat-six in two forms. The company stated outputs of over 500 bhp for the naturally aspirated version and over 600 bhp for the forced-induction version. These are manufacturer-announced figures, not independently tested results.
| Choice | Announced specification |
|---|---|
| Engine | 4.0-litre flat-six |
| Naturally aspirated | Over 500 bhp, according to Tuthill’s 2024 announcement |
| Forced induction | Over 600 bhp, according to Tuthill’s 2024 announcement |
| Transmission | Seven-speed dual-clutch or a manual equivalent |
Tuthill said the car displayed at The Quail used the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission; the manual was also offered. The announcement does not provide comparative acceleration, top-speed or other performance testing, nor does it detail the practical trade-offs between the configurations.

Chassis, body and announced equipment
Tuthill specified a full carbon-fibre body and twin-wishbone suspension at both the front and rear. Its announcement also lists carbon-ceramic brakes and a weight of 1,200 kg; that weight is a manufacturer-stated specification, not an independently measured figure.
The described construction and features include carbon front and rear clams, a carbon roof with an integrated air intake, FIA-based rollover protection, and carbon-fibre doors with side-impact bars. Tuthill said it optimised underbody and surface aerodynamics using CFD analysis. It also named Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres, but did not state their size, so fitment should be confirmed for a specific car rather than inferred from a generic listing.
