The EOS was a proposed three-seat supercar from MB Roadcars (MBR), not a car from Radical Motorsport. Revealed in 2005, it was presented with a central driving position, a planned 500 bhp V8 and ambitious performance targets. Those figures describe the project’s announcements, not independently tested results; the available accounts do not establish that customers received production cars.
What was the MBR EOS?
EOS stood for “Exigence of Speed.” MB Roadcars unveiled the project at Top Marques Monaco in May 2005. Its defining feature was a central driver’s seat flanked by two passenger seats, a layout associated with the McLaren F1. Contemporary coverage described the EOS as an attempt to fill the gap left by that car, but it remained a distinct MBR project.
The name can cause confusion: “Radical” in the title is descriptive, not the manufacturer. Radical Motorsport is a separate company whose own history and current range concern sports-racing cars; its official site is useful for distinguishing the two. The EOS was presented by MB Roadcars.
What specifications did MBR announce?
Reports from 2005 described an intended mid-mounted, 4.0-litre all-alloy V8 developed with or supplied by Mader Racing, rated at about 500 bhp and paired with a six-speed gearbox. MBR also proposed a carbon-fibre composite monocoque and a target kerb weight of about 1,000 kg. These are period project specifications, not verified figures for customer cars.

| Announced item | Period figure or description | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | 4.0-litre V8; about 500 bhp | Reported in 2005 by PistonHeads and Autocar; announced output, not an independent test result. |
| Transmission | Six-speed gearbox | Part of the announced package reported by PistonHeads and Autocar. |
| Construction and weight | Carbon-composite monocoque; target around 1,000 kg | Reported in 2005 by PistonHeads and New Atlas; target weight, not a measured production-car figure. |
| Top speed | Around 325 km/h (200 mph) | Period target reported by New Atlas and Grandprix.com, not an independently verified result. |
| Anticipated price | About £300,000–£340,000 | Different 2005 reports gave different anticipated figures: Autocar reported about £300,000; New Atlas about £340,000. These were not current market prices. |
| Production intention | Up to about 20 cars a year | Intention reported by AutoWeek in 2005, not evidence of actual annual output. |
The period figures imply a power-to-weight target close to 0.5 bhp/kg, but the calculation depends on the announced output and target weight both being achieved. No independent EOS test result is established by these contemporary reports.
How was the EOS supposed to work?
Three seats and a central driving position
The driver sat on the centreline with a passenger on each side. That arrangement makes the car’s most distinctive promise immediately clear: it was conceived as a three-seat supercar rather than a conventional two-seater.

Aerodynamics and suspension
MBR described using Formula 1-inspired design methods, including computer-aided design and computational fluid dynamics. The proposed aerodynamic package included a two-element front wing, an integrated rear wing, a broad diffuser and side winglets. New Atlas reported MBR’s claim of 40% more downforce than competitors, but the coverage does not establish the comparison cars, test conditions or measurement basis. It should be treated as a marketing claim, not a verified advantage.
The announced suspension used unequal-length double wishbones, with pushrods operating inboard springs and dampers. Together with the monocoque and aerodynamic elements, this was presented as a race-car-influenced engineering package; the available reporting does not verify its performance in a completed production car.

Did the MBR EOS reach production?
The contemporary reports establish a public reveal and plans to develop a running prototype—not confirmed customer deliveries. PistonHeads quoted managing director Michael Blaize saying the team expected its first prototype to run by mid-2006. AutoWeek reported that MBR was seeking technical partners and investors and anticipated a prototype. Those accounts describe an active project, but not a completed production programme.
A later Polish reference entry claims prototypes were built and that an MBR V8 was offered for sale in 2007; its figures differ from the 2005 announcements. A concept-car index, meanwhile, says the production effort fizzled. These later accounts do not reconcile the conflicting claims or establish customer deliveries. The most careful conclusion is that the EOS’s final production status remains uncertain in the available published evidence.

What is known—and what remains unverified?
- Established as a project announcement: MBR presented the EOS in 2005 as a central-driver, three-seat supercar with a planned Mader Racing-related V8, composite monocoque and race-inspired aerodynamics and suspension.
- Not established as achieved specifications: the power, weight, top speed, downforce advantage, price and annual production figures were reported plans or claims, not independently measured results.
- Unresolved: the available accounts do not establish a reliable sales count, customer deliveries or a definitive final outcome for the project.
Grandprix.com attributed this description to founder Michael Blaize: “The car brings together the very best of motorsport and aerospace technologies into a distinctive and elegant concept”. It is a statement of the project’s ambition, not an independent engineering assessment.
