Choose a Baleno by deciding on fuel and transmission first, then pay more only for equipment you will use. The Indian-market range listed by NEXA includes petrol manuals and AMTs, plus S-CNG versions with manual and AGS transmissions. Because a complete current price and feature breakdown is not available here, verify the exact variant and quote with NEXA or a local dealer before booking.
Which Baleno variant is right for you?
Start with your fuel access and daily driving pattern. If petrol suits your routes and refuelling needs, compare the petrol manual and AMT versions. If you can reliably refuel with CNG and it fits your usage, compare the S-CNG trims separately. Then choose the lowest trim that meets your must-haves, checking the current feature list rather than assuming that a higher trim includes a particular item.

- Choose a petrol manual if you prefer a manual and want to compare the petrol range without adding an automatic transmission.
- Consider a petrol AMT if you want an automatic option; take a test drive if you are unsure about its feel.
- Consider S-CNG if CNG access is practical for your regular routes and your own usage supports the choice.
- Move up a trim only when its verified equipment is worth the additional price to you.
What variants are listed in the Indian lineup?
NEXA’s current Baleno overview lists these petrol versions: Sigma MT, Delta MT and AMT, Zeta MT and AMT, Alpha MT and AMT, and Alpha(O) MT and AMT. Its S-CNG range lists Delta CNG MT, Zeta CNG MT, Delta CNG AGS and Zeta CNG AGS. Maruti Suzuki announced the introduction of automatic S-CNG Baleno models in September 2026. See NEXA’s Baleno overview and the September 2026 announcement.

Petrol or S-CNG: how to decide
Choose based on the fuel you can use conveniently and your actual driving, not a universal mileage threshold. Before choosing S-CNG, check where you can refuel on the routes you regularly travel. Compare the fuel prices in your area and your expected annual distance against your own budget; a break-even estimate would depend on those local inputs.
NEXA identifies S-CNG as a separate powertrain, and Maruti Suzuki’s September 2026 announcement concerns the launch of automatic S-CNG Baleno models. The announcement does not, by itself, establish a fuel-economy advantage for a particular driver. Read the launch announcement.

Manual, AMT or AGS?
The listed petrol range offers MT and, on four trims, AMT. The listed S-CNG range offers MT and AGS on Delta and Zeta. Official availability confirms which combinations are listed, but it does not tell you which transmission will feel better in your driving. If you are deciding between manual and automatic, test-drive the specific version you are considering.
How to compare trims and equipment
Use NEXA’s live comparison and current brochure to check the equipment on the exact variant. The brochure includes comparisons across safety, infotainment, exterior, convenience and interior equipment, but its own caveat says prices, colours, specifications, models, parts and accessories can change without notice; pictured features or accessories may not be standard. Confirm the final specification with the live configurator or dealer. Open NEXA’s Baleno page or use its feature-comparison page.

- The color is as the photoes show
NEXA promotes features including ADAS Level 2 and ventilated seats on the petrol range, but the available official page text does not reliably assign every promoted feature to each trim. Do not assume a feature is included on a particular variant until it appears in that variant’s current specification.
A safety-equipment list is not a crash-test rating. No independent crash-test rating or comparative crash-safety report is established here, so do not use equipment claims as a substitute for a verified crash-performance result.

What does the Baleno cost?
Maruti Suzuki’s September 2026 S-CNG automatic launch announcement gives an overall Baleno ex-showroom starting price of ₹8,32,400. Treat that figure as the manufacturer’s stated starting-price reference in that announcement, not as a full trim-by-trim price list or a city on-road quote. The official NEXA pricing page’s comparison interface did not expose a complete current price table, so individual variant prices should be confirmed directly. See the announcement and check NEXA’s pricing page.
Ex-showroom and on-road costs can vary by city and current offers. Ask a local dealer for a dated, itemised quote for the exact fuel and transmission combination you want, and compare it with the live NEXA configurator. NEXA’s pricing page also links to financing and servicing information; those links are useful for ownership planning, not proof of a particular total-cost advantage. NEXA pricing and ownership links.
