There is no confirmation that the spied Mahindra Thar ROXX test mule is testing DAVINCI suspension. Reports describe DAVINCI as a possibility, but Mahindra’s cited ROXX specifications list FDD and MTV-CL dampers. Mahindra has announced DAVINCI damping for the Thar OG, not for the ROXX.
What does the test-mule sighting confirm?
RushLane and Wheels42 reported a Thar ROXX test-mule sighting on October 6, 2026, and both treated the possibility of DAVINCI suspension as unconfirmed speculation: RushLane and Wheels42. A sighting or photograph cannot establish which dampers are fitted to the vehicle. The component being tested therefore remains unknown.
What suspension does Mahindra specify for the Thar ROXX?
Mahindra’s Thar ROXX brochure describes different front and rear arrangements, including FDD and MTV-CL dampers at both ends: Thar ROXX brochure.
- Front: Independent double-wishbone suspension with coil springs, FDD and MTV-CL dampers.
- Rear: Rigid axle with coil springs, Watt’s linkage, FDD, HRS and MTV-CL dampers.
Mahindra’s July 20, 2024 ROXX launch release likewise describes Watt’s Link, advanced shock absorbers with MTV-CL and FDD, and HRS. It does not announce DAVINCI damping for the ROXX: Mahindra’s Thar ROXX launch release.

Which Thar has Mahindra announced DAVINCI damping for?
In a September 22, 2026 release, Mahindra announced DAVINCI damping technology with FDD for the Thar OG: Mahindra’s Thar OG announcement. The release describes the technology as enabling a plush ride. That is the manufacturer’s stated intended benefit for the Thar OG; it is not a measured result for the Thar ROXX.
The announcement concerns the Thar OG, while Mahindra’s cited ROXX brochure specifies FDD and MTV-CL dampers. These are distinct model references, and the OG announcement does not confirm a DAVINCI-equipped ROXX.

What is still unknown about DAVINCI on the ROXX?
- Whether the test mule has DAVINCI dampers or another suspension component.
- Whether Mahindra plans to offer DAVINCI on the ROXX.
- If it is offered, when it could arrive or which variants might receive it.
Mahindra has not provided official confirmation of a DAVINCI-equipped ROXX in the cited materials. They also do not establish a measured ride-quality comparison between the ROXX and Thar OG, or a percentage improvement in ROXX ride comfort.
