The sale, held online March 18–25, 2026, offered a selected portion of the Porsche collector’s holdings—not his entire collection—and included cars, parts and memorabilia. RM Sotheby’s reported $2 million in proceeds across 160 lots, with every lot selling. RM Sotheby’s post-sale release gives the results; the figures are the auction house’s reporting, not an independent market study.
What Magnus Walker chose to sell
RM Sotheby’s announced the collaboration on January 20, 2026, describing the offering as a curated selection from Walker’s personal Porsche collection, accompanied by memorabilia and parts accumulated over decades. The house said Walker had chosen to part with a portion of the collection, not all of it. The announcement quotes Walker describing the decision as “shedding my skin, a kind of rebirth” after his Porsche hobby had come to define him.
Walker also connected the sale to a long personal history with the marque. In the same announcement, he said he bought his first Porsche in 1992, when he was 25, calling it a dream fulfilled and the beginning of a new chapter in his relationship with Porsche.
How the completed sale performed
RM Sotheby’s reported that the March 18–25 online auction generated $2 million in total proceeds from 160 lots, including 16 complete cars. Bidders from 30 countries were represented, and the house reported a 100% sell-through rate. All lots were offered without reserve. These are RM Sotheby’s reported sale figures; they do not by themselves establish a wider trend in Porsche values.

Its lot page describes a 1966 2.0-liter flat-six, Fuchs wheels and Scheel bucket seats, and includes Walker’s account of the car’s history and modifications. What the sale prices mean for buyers
The displayed result is not necessarily a buyer’s full cost. Under the terms for this completed sale, RM Sotheby’s charged a 10% buyer’s premium on motor-car lots and 20% on memorabilia, parts, accessories, tools, engines and other non-car categories. Applicable duties and local taxes were the buyer’s responsibility, as were transport and insurance arrangements. The bidder page specified payment by 17:00 on the next business day. These were the terms for Walker’s sale, not current instructions for another auction.
The conditions also placed the burden of due diligence on bidders: lots were sold “as is” and “where is,” with warranties disclaimed on matters including condition, originality, authenticity and provenance. Anyone comparing one of these results with another Porsche sale should check the specific car’s model and year, modifications, documentation, condition, sale date, and whether the quoted figure includes buyer costs.
