Its box-trailer exterior may draw less attention than a conventional camper, but “stealthiest” is a promotional description—not a measured ranking. Inside, the 35-square-foot (3.3-square-meter) space is centered on a convertible sofa-bed, with cooking, water, power and storage available as options.
The details and prices below come from New Atlas’s report published March 22, 2025, which identified Lutz Minicamper as its source. They should be treated as publication-era figures, not a current quote or confirmation of availability. Read the New Atlas report.
What is the Lutz 2513 Minicamper?
It is a small camper conversion built around a Humbaur HK 752513 plywood cargo trailer. The single-axle trailer has a white box body and a large rear door; its ordinary utility-trailer appearance is the basis for the “stealthy” framing. That describes its look, not a guarantee that it will go unnoticed or a tested comparison with other campers.
With the rear door open, the cargo box serves as a basic sleeping room. New Atlas reports a side window measuring 35 by 20 inches (90 by 50 centimeters), fitted with a screen and blackout blind, as well as a roof ventilation hatch. The reported living area is 35 square feet (3.3 square meters), so this is a compact shelter rather than a room-sized motorhome substitute.

How does the sleeping area convert back to cargo space?
The L-shaped sofa converts into a double bed measuring 79 by 52 inches (200 by 131 centimeters). New Atlas describes a five-piece cold-foam mattress 7.5 inches (10 centimeters) thick. The Maxx-Flexx frame can slide aside to clear a full-length aisle, making it possible to use the trailer for cargo such as bicycles or a motorcycle when the sleeping setup is moved.
A rechargeable overhead LED light is reported as standard. The basic configuration is deliberately simple: a bed on wheels for travelers who expect to spend most of their time outdoors, rather than a fully equipped tiny home.

What do the trailer weight ratings mean for towing?
New Atlas reports a 750-kilogram gross vehicle weight rating for the base trailer and describes an upgraded braked trailer rated at 1,300 kilograms gross vehicle weight. These are maximum gross ratings, not payload figures: they do not tell you how much camping gear the trailer can carry once its own weight and fitted options are accounted for.

No. The Lutz 2513 and Sportcaravan Cube 1 are separate products. The Lutz is a cargo-box trailer conversion. The Sportcaravan Cube 1 is a compact caravan whose reported optional rooftop tent connects to the cabin through a hatch.

New Atlas’s January 22, 2024 report gave the Cube 1 a total length of 3.2 meters, height of 1.7 meters, empty weight of 320 kilograms and double bed measuring 205 by 130 centimeters. It described fiberglass sandwich panels with polyurethane insulation, ventilation, an optional ceramic heater and the rooftop-tent pass-through. Its reported starting price was €12,900 at publication; those dated figures apply to the Cube 1, not the Lutz 2513. Read the New Atlas Cube 1 report.
The current Sportcaravan site identifies the brand with UNSINN Fahrzeugtechnik, says production moved to the UNSINN plant in Holzheim from the beginning of 2025, and shows Cube 2 and Cube 3 in its model navigation. That does not, by itself, establish that Cube 1 has been discontinued. Check the current Sportcaravan site.
Quick Recap
Who is the Lutz 2513 best suited to?
- Travelers who mainly need a bed: The basic setup prioritizes sleeping space over built-in amenities.
- People who also need a cargo trailer: The sliding bed frame can clear an aisle for bulky gear, though the exact fit for any load depends on its dimensions and the trailer’s limits.
- Families towing a larger motorhome: New Atlas describes it as a portable spare bedroom, including for children or teenagers. That use still depends on safe towing and suitable places to park.
- Buyers expecting a self-contained camper: Check the options carefully. Cooking, water storage, electrical upgrades and a toilet are listed as extras, not as part of the basic bed-focused concept.
What to verify before buying
- Ask for a current written price and an itemized list of what is standard, optional and included in the quoted configuration.
- Confirm current stock, delivery arrangements, warranty and applicable registration or road-use requirements with the seller; the 2025 report does not establish these details.
- Get the trailer’s actual unladen weight, maximum permitted gross weight and payload for the specific build, then check those against your vehicle and intended cargo.
- Confirm dimensions and fit for any planned cargo, cooking equipment or water containers. The report does not specify compatibility dimensions for accessories.
- If considering a demonstration or rental, verify whether either is currently offered and confirm the terms directly; the reported rates are dated.
