What makes the Lacros Cyclone a step-through comfort bike?
The original Cyclone combines a low step-through frame with front and rear suspension, wide tires and a shock-absorbing saddle. Those features address different comfort needs: the frame makes it easier to get on and off, while the tires and suspension are intended to soften the ride over rougher surfaces. Lacros calls the frame an “extra-long 7-inch step-through frame”; that is the company’s description, not an independently measured comparison with other bikes. Is the step-through frame easy to get on and off?
A step-through layout removes the need to swing a leg over a high top tube, which can make mounting and dismounting easier for some riders. The frame design is the Cyclone’s clearest accessibility-oriented feature; it does not establish that the bike will fit every rider or that it is easier to mount than every competing model.
How comfortable is it on bumpy roads?
Lacros lists a lockable, adjustable 100mm front fork and rear spring suspension, alongside 20-by-4-inch puncture-resistant fat tires. These are comfort-oriented components, but the available specifications do not establish how much vibration the bike absorbs on a particular road or trail. Surface, tire pressure, rider weight and setup can all affect how a bike feels.

Lacros advertises up to 90 miles, but the figure is not an independently verified riding result. The listing does not provide enough test detail to treat 90 miles as a dependable expectation for every rider or trip. Actual range varies with factors such as rider and cargo weight, terrain, assist level, speed, stops, temperature and battery condition. Treat “up to 90 miles” as a best-case manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed distance between charges.
How heavy is the original Cyclone?
Lacros lists the original Cyclone at 82 lb with its battery. That weight matters if you need to lift the bike onto a vehicle rack, carry it up stairs or move it into storage. The step-through frame can simplify getting onto the saddle, but it does not make the bike lighter to handle.

Price, shipping and checks before buying
A search result showed the original Cyclone at a sale price of $1,059 against a $1,699 reference price. That promotion is time-sensitive, not a standing price; check the live listing for current price and stock. Lacros’s FAQ says in-stock products usually ship in 1–3 business days and delivery generally takes 3–7 business days; timing and availability can vary by location and current terms. - Confirm whether the listing is for the original Cyclone or the 2026 Enhanced Edition.
- Check fit against the stated 5 ft 2 in–6 ft 3 in screening range and the bike’s geometry; a height range alone cannot confirm a comfortable fit.
