What the 80-mile range claim means
Kingbull describes 80 miles as the maximum range “under ideal riding conditions.” The listing does not provide enough detail to translate that maximum into a dependable expectation for a particular rider, route or assist setting. No controlled, independent test with stated rider weight, terrain, speed and assist level is established here.
Battery capacity is listed as 864Wh, but that figure alone cannot determine how far a given ride will go. Speed, terrain, rider and cargo weight, assist use, tire pressure and other conditions affect energy use. Treat the 80-mile figure as a manufacturer claim, not a promise that ordinary rides will reach that distance. [Kingbull Hunter 2.0S listing]
Fit, weight and tire details to check
Kingbull lists the bike at 77 lb, a substantial weight to account for if you need to lift it onto a vehicle, carry it up steps or maneuver it into storage. The published rider height range is 5 ft 3 in to 6 ft 6 in, and the maximum payload is 400 lb. These are manufacturer figures; use them as screening information rather than a substitute for checking fit and the bike’s current instructions.

- FULL SUSPENSION & 20" x 4.0" FAT TIRES – Front suspension and dual rear shocks help absorb bumps and rough surfaces, while wide fat tires add grip and stability on pavement, gravel, dirt roads, and changing terrain.
- DUAL-PISTON HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES – Front and rear hydraulic brakes provide smooth, responsive stopping control. Pair them with the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain for better control on hills, city streets, and mixed terrain.

The listed tire and inner-tube size is 26 × 4.0 inches, with a Schrader valve. Kingbull’s model FAQ recommends 25–28 PSI for everyday riding. Before ordering a replacement, compare both the dimensions and valve type with the tube on your delivered bike and the replacement listing. [Product listing and specifications] [Kingbull FAQ]

The manufacturer advertises a maximum speed of 28 mph, but the listing alone does not establish where that speed or bike configuration is legal. E-bike classifications and access rules depend on jurisdiction and may depend on the bike’s configuration. Check the rules for the roads, paths and trails where you plan to ride rather than assuming the advertised speed grants access.
CPSC’s general micromobility guidance recommends using the supplied or manufacturer-recommended charger, staying present while charging and replacing a battery only with an approved battery. It also advises against modified batteries and repurposed cells. These are general safety recommendations, not evidence of a Hunter 2.0S-specific defect. [CPSC micromobility safety guidance]

Kingbull’s FAQ says its battery system is tested through UL by SGS. The available product information does not establish a certificate number, named standard or certification scope, so that statement should not be read as proof that the complete bike is certified to a particular standard. General battery-risk factors discussed by PeopleForBikes in a January 4, 2023 CPSC-hosted meeting record include wrong chargers, overcharging, modified or reconditioned batteries, and worn or damaged batteries; those points are not Hunter-specific findings. Is the Hunter 2.0S worth considering?
At the listed $899 price, the Hunter 2.0S presents a manufacturer-specified 750W hub motor, 864Wh battery, hydraulic brakes and 26 × 4.0-inch tires, along with a listed 400 lb payload. Those details may help narrow a shortlist, but they do not establish the bike’s real-world range, comparative value or suitability for a particular route. Make the decision using the current price, a fit and handling check, local rules, and the limits of the range and certification claims.
