How much does the Kia EV5 GT cost?
Auto Express reports that UK order books opened at £54,295 on the road. That is the exact figure behind the rounded £54k headline. Kia UK’s published price guide currently lists other EV5 trims, but not the GT, so the reported GT price is not yet independently shown in Kia’s guide.

For context, Kia UK lists its current non-GT EV5 range from £39,345 to £51,045 on the road. The GT’s reported price is therefore above the highest-priced derivative in that guide.
What performance and range does the GT offer?
According to Auto Express’s launch report, the EV5 GT pairs a 301bhp power output with all-wheel drive and accelerates from 0–62mph in 6.2 seconds. The report says a rear motor adds power and traction compared with the front-wheel-drive versions previously offered.

The same report gives the GT an 81.4kWh battery and a range of up to 295 miles. It also says charging from 10% to 80% takes just over half an hour using most rapid chargers. These are launch-report figures, not independently road-tested results or GT figures currently listed in Kia UK’s price guide.
How does the EV5 GT compare with Kia’s listed EV5 trims?
Kia UK’s current price guide lists non-GT versions with front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). Its range figures are WLTP cycle results; Kia cautions that range depends on trim, wheels and other factors. The GT figures below come from Auto Express’s launch report, so their source status differs from Kia’s guide.

Kia UK says its listed EV5 range can reach up to 329 miles with 18-inch wheels; it gives up to 313 miles for the FWD GT-Line with 19-inch wheels. Those figures are useful trim-specific context, but they do not make a direct, like-for-like comparison with the GT’s reported range.

What should buyers verify before ordering?
- Check with Kia UK or a retailer for the GT’s confirmed specification, order availability and on-the-road price, since the current Kia UK price guide does not list the trim.
- Confirm the official range figure and the conditions attached to it. Kia says range varies with trim, wheel type and other factors, while the 295-mile GT figure is currently reported by Auto Express.
- Ask which charging conditions underpin the reported 10–80% time, as the launch report describes it as just over half an hour on most rapid chargers.
