Published accounts of Justin Timberlake’s cars pair luxury and performance models with a decidedly ordinary 2002 Volkswagen Jetta. British GQ reported in 2021 that the Jetta was his daily driver then; the same feature highlighted a black 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible with a much more personal story. These are dated reports, not a verified inventory of what he owns today.
What cars does Justin Timberlake own?
There is no reliable, current public inventory that establishes a complete collection or present-day ownership count. British GQ’s January 2021 feature named several vehicles in its account of Timberlake’s cars, while a 2019 Georgia Straight roundup relayed an earlier list attributed to a 2001 Rolling Stone profile. The accounts span different points in his career, so they should not be read as one simultaneous garage list.

Vehicles named in British GQ’s 2021 account
- 1993 Acura Legend, which GQ said became his in 1997
- 1998 Mercedes-Benz ML320 (W163), reportedly bought when he was 17
- 2002 Volkswagen Jetta
- 2006 Bentley Continental GT, which GQ said he bought after Super Bowl XXXVIII
- 2008 Hummer H3
- 2011 Audi S5 Cabriolet, reportedly red and kept after he filmed Friends With Benefits
- 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
- 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, described by GQ as blacked out
GQ also mentions a Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade, Audi Q7, Audi A8 and multiple Wranglers, without assigning each a dated entry in its main list. The feature is British GQ’s January 31, 2021 report.
Earlier vehicles reported via Georgia Straight
Georgia Straight’s February 2019 roundup says a 2001 Rolling Stone profile by Touré reported that Timberlake owned a Plymouth Prowler, Dodge Viper, Audi TT, Porsche 911, BMW M Roadster, “a Mercedes,” and a Cadillac Escalade outfitted with a PlayStation 2 and televisions in the headrests. That is a secondhand account here: the 2001 profile itself is not the direct source for this article.

The same Georgia Straight article, published February 14, 2019, also reports a BMW 7 Series, Audi A1, Audi S5 Cabriolet, Jeep Cherokee and vintage Pontiac GTO among later vehicles, and attributes a Jetta report to People. Its retrospective list does not establish when each vehicle was owned or whether it overlapped with the cars in GQ’s account.
What was Timberlake’s daily driver?
British GQ described a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta as Timberlake’s daily driver in its 2021 feature. It identified the fourth-generation sedan as having a turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and reported that he kept it because it was useful for errands. That answers the question for GQ’s 2021 account only; it does not confirm what he drives now.
Why the 1967 Pontiac GTO stands out
The black 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible is the most vivid car story in GQ’s feature. The magazine says Timberlake first drove a classic GTO while filming Trouble With The Curve, then bought one he found in Texas. GQ describes the car as a 365-horsepower convertible with a 6.6-liter V8 and says its previous owner had driven it only about nine hours after a full restoration.

Recalling the experience in an interview with USA Today, as quoted by GQ, Timberlake said: “I kept driving that car around and around and finally I just said, ‘Yeaaaaahh,’” before describing finding and buying the Texas car. The story connects the purchase to the pleasure of driving the model, rather than simply adding another luxury badge to a celebrity list.

Which cars should not be counted as his?
Celebrity-car roundups can blur a partner’s vehicle with the subject’s collection. GQ’s entry for a 2018 Lamborghini Aventador S LP740-4 Roadster explicitly says that it belongs to Jessica Biel. It should not be counted as one of Timberlake’s cars on the basis of that report.
What the published lists can—and cannot—tell you
Together, the articles depict vehicles associated with Timberlake at different times: practical transportation alongside enthusiast, off-road, performance and luxury models. But neither source establishes a current complete inventory, a definitive total, or a reliable collection value. The careful answer is that these are cars reported in past accounts, with the Jetta described as his daily driver in 2021—not a verified list of cars he owns today.
