The Jeep Wrangler ARTT—short for Awning and Rooftop Tent—is a roof-integrated camper concept co-developed by Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) by Mopar and Dometic. Unveiled on May 16, 2025, it was designed for a four-door Wrangler and displayed on the Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser concept. Jeep and Dometic described it as a concept; their announcements do not confirm that it entered production or retail sale.
What is the Jeep Wrangler ARTT?
ARTT combines an inflatable rooftop tent and an integrated awning in a low-profile assembly designed to serve as the vehicle roof. Unlike a conventional rooftop tent that sits on a separate rack, the announced concept uses a carbon-fiber shell attached directly to the Wrangler roof. Jeep presented it as an accessory concept for the four-door Wrangler, not as a confirmed fitment for every Wrangler configuration.
Jeep Performance Parts by Mopar and Dometic unveiled the concept at Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona, on May 16, 2025. It was shown on the Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser, a separate Jeep concept that had debuted at the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. Jeep says ARTT was developed through Stellantis’ Star*Up intrapreneurship program with Dometic. Stellantis’ announcement and Dometic’s account both identify it as a concept.
How the concept is designed to work
Roof-mounted shell and inflatable tent
The tent folds into a carbon-fiber shell that attaches directly to the roof rather than requiring a conventional roof-rack system. Dometic AIR Frame Inflation technology forms the tent structure, and the sleeping area is described as large enough for a queen-size mattress. These are announced design details, not independent test results or a published specification sheet.

Integrated 270-degree awning
An awning swings out from the assembly to provide coverage around 270 degrees. Dometic and Jeep describe the system as an integrated roof, tent and awning rather than separate pieces of camping equipment. The announcements do not provide measured setup time, packed weight, packed height or weather-performance results.
Access from inside the Wrangler
The concept allows entry to the tent from the cabin through the Wrangler’s removed freedom panels. An interior carbon-fiber step is included to help protect the center console while climbing through. The access arrangement is a feature of the concept as displayed; it does not establish that the vehicle retains every open-air roof configuration while the system is installed.

Is the Jeep ARTT available to buy?
Current production and retail availability have not been confirmed by the official announcements cited here. They provide no price, production date, order page or retail part number. An event survey inviting Overland Expo attendees to share their reaction was a way to gather feedback, not evidence of a production decision; Overland Expo’s May 26, 2025 event report describes the display and survey.
That distinction matters: ARTT was shown on the Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser concept, and the display does not establish availability for production Wrangler 4xe models. Nor does the absence of a confirmed retail listing prove that the idea was cancelled or will never be sold.

What is known—and not known—about performance
Dometic frames the low-profile, roof-integrated design as a way to reduce added weight and aerodynamic drag compared with a conventional rack-mounted arrangement. The announcement does not publish measured drag, fuel-economy, stability or weight results. Those benefits should therefore be treated as design aims, not verified performance gains.
The announced details establish a 270-degree awning and room for a queen-size mattress, but not the tent’s exact dimensions, materials beyond the carbon-fiber shell, load limits, setup procedure or final production specifications. No price, production volume or release timing is stated in the official concept announcements.

How ARTT differs from a conventional rooftop tent
ARTT’s defining idea is integration: its shell is intended to replace the roof surface beneath it, while a typical rooftop tent mounts above the vehicle on a rack. That design difference alone does not show that ARTT is lighter, more aerodynamic, safer or easier to use; the announcements provide no comparative test data.
For a conventional rooftop tent, confirm the precise vehicle year, trim, roof type, rack and load requirements with the tent and vehicle manufacturers. ARTT’s concept fit on a four-door Wrangler does not establish compatibility for another Wrangler model year, roof configuration or aftermarket setup. Also check whether a tent can remain mounted while preserving the open-air roof use you want; the concept information does not settle that question for a retail installation.
