Its round headlight and retro design give it a cafe-racer look, but Jawa does not officially classify it as a cafe racer. The launch marks a renewed move into higher-displacement motorcycles—not evidence of large-scale production returning.
What the JAWA 730 Twin is
The 730 Twin is a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, two-cylinder motorcycle with a six-speed gearbox and electric start. Jawa lists maximum output of 55 kW at 8,200 rpm and maximum torque of 68 Nm at 7,100 rpm. The manufacturer describes the new 730 Twin as part of a wider line that also includes the JAWA 400 Geeny and JAWA 1000. Jawa’s model page connects the motorcycles through similar frame construction, inline twin-cylinder engines and Czech VIN codes.

The Motosalon organizer calls the 730 Twin the first of these new models planned for series production. That distinction matters: the launch is a step toward a renewed model line, not proof that Jawa has resumed production at a large scale. Jiří Kraft, identified by the organizer as a Jawa executive, said the company hoped to produce about 150 units in 2026 and expected production and exports to grow in subsequent years. This was a target and outlook, not a confirmed production total. Veletrhy Brno reported Kraft’s remarks on 5 March 2026.
Retro styling, with a specific Jawa connection
The round headlight and other historic design cues link the bike visually to older Jawa motorcycles. Jawa says “Twin” recalls its 1980s JAWA 350 type 638 Twin Sport, describes the new bike’s inline-twin engine and points to shared design with the JAWA 1000. The manufacturer presents the 730 Twin as a Czech-made motorcycle using components from established suppliers; that does not mean every component is Czech-made.

The Motosalon organizer describes a double-truss backbone-style frame and credits Czech designer Jan Hrbek. It says Jedi Motor supplied the 730 cc engine, swingarm and 17-inch cast wheels, and identifies Pirelli tires and Brembo radial brakes. The organizer’s 8 February 2026 report gives those component details.

Price and availability
Jawa lists a recommended Czech base price of 199,700 Kč including VAT. Its price list is valid from 1 March 2026, and the manufacturer reserves the right to change prices. The figure is specific to the Czech price list; it should not be treated as a price for other countries. The Motosalon organizer also reported the same base price on 5 March 2026. The available reports do not establish an international launch schedule or dealer availability outside the stated Czech-market pricing.
What to make of the “revival”
The 730 Twin is significant as the first new model in a planned Jawa line to enter series production, and as the company’s renewed move into a higher-displacement category. The stated output target of about 150 units for 2026 puts that announcement in perspective: it is a limited-scale beginning, not evidence of a broad production comeback. The specifications and heritage styling establish what Jawa is building; without an independent road test, they do not establish how it rides, how it compares in real-world performance, or how it will fare in long-term ownership.
