Jaguar unveiled a reimagined identity on 19 November 2024—not just a replacement badge, but four coordinated elements: a new Signature wordmark, the retained Leaper as a maker’s mark, an “Artist’s Mark” monogram and a graphic device called Strikethrough. Jaguar links the system to its “Copy Nothing” ethos and an all-electric modern-luxury direction. The “six-figure” positioning, however, is reported strategy, not a confirmed price for Jaguar’s upcoming Type 01.
What are Jaguar’s new logos?
Jaguar’s 19 November 2024 announcement presented the rebrand as a transformed identity built around four elements. The company describes them as a coordinated system, with distinct roles rather than four interchangeable versions of a car badge.
| Identity element | Jaguar’s stated role |
|---|---|
| Signature | The brand’s device mark, presented as a distinctive wordmark. |
| Leaper | The Maker’s Mark: the leaping cat is retained as a hallmark in the new system. |
| Artist’s Mark | A monogram combining a “J” and an “r.” |
| Strikethrough | A graphic device made of linear lines. |
These names and descriptions come from Jaguar’s 19 November 2024 announcement and its Copy Nothing identity page. The Leaper’s inclusion matters: Jaguar did not simply discard the cat symbol, but assigned it a continuing maker’s-mark role.
Why did Jaguar change its logo?
Jaguar framed the redesign as part of a broader brand reset, not an isolated logo refresh. Its announcement tied the work to “Copy Nothing,” an ethos the company attributes to founder Sir William Lyons, and to the idea it calls “Exuberant Modernism.” Those are Jaguar’s descriptions of its intended character and creative direction—not independent proof that the change will succeed.

The company connected the new identity to a future as an all-electric modern-luxury brand. Its November announcement also said the next transformation stage, including a Design Vision Concept, would be shown during Miami Art Week. In December 2024, Jaguar presented the Type 00 as a design-vision concept; that concept should not be confused with a production car.
What does Jaguar’s “six-figure future” mean?
The phrase refers to reported strategic positioning, not a published price list. An Associated Press report on 25 November 2024 said the approach was thought to aim for fewer cars at a six-figure price point while reaching a more diverse customer base. That is reporting about the strategy, not confirmation of the price of a particular vehicle or a promise that every future Jaguar will cost six figures.

Jaguar’s current UK page identifies the forthcoming Type 01 as a four-door GT “Coming Soon.” The reviewed official sources do not state a confirmed retail price or sale date for Type 01. Jaguar’s current model framing is therefore Type 01; Type 00 was the earlier design-vision concept announced in December 2024. Early online response included criticism, bewilderment and hostility, according to Associated Press coverage on 20 November 2024. One report noted that the launch video showed models and no car. A later AP account documented a range of reactions alongside Jaguar’s stated rationale. These reports establish that the launch drew a visible negative and puzzled response; they do not measure how all customers felt or establish a universal consensus.
