When will the Kia EV4 be available in the U.S.?
Kia America unveiled the 2026 EV4 sedan in April 2025 and said it planned U.S. sales for the first quarter of 2026. That timing is no longer a confirmed launch plan: InsideEVs reported on October 30, 2025, that Kia had delayed the U.S. release until further notice. The report gave no new date. Kia’s 2026 global strategy material still includes the EV4 in its passenger-EV plans and names Europe as a production region. That global information does not confirm that, or when, the car will be sold in the United States. Kia’s 2026 CEO Investor Day material
Why did Kia delay the U.S. release?
A Kia spokesperson cited changed EV market conditions, telling InsideEVs: “However, as market conditions for EVs have changed, the release of the upcoming EV4 electric sedan will be delayed until further notice.” Kia did not announce a replacement date in that report. It did not attribute the delay to tariffs or a specific policy change, so those should not be treated as the company’s stated reason.

Kia described the range figures as estimates, not independent test results. The announcement did not establish final U.S. certification or whether every announced specification and feature would appear on retail vehicles.

Announced technology and equipment
Kia also listed variable i-Pedal 3.0 regenerative braking, available vehicle-to-load (V2L), available Digital Key 2.0, a combined display measuring nearly 30 inches, and standard Highway Driving Assist. Some items were identified as available rather than standard, and actual trim or option availability was not established.
