There is a reported improvement for the 2026 model year. Car and Driver says revisions reduced the turning circle by about five percent compared with the 2025 model, to about 42 feet for the Grenadier SUV and 45 feet for the Quartermaster. Those are the outlet’s reported figures, not independently checked measurements here. A smaller turning circle helps, but the figures do not establish that either vehicle will maneuver like a smaller crossover.
Turning circle is only one part of the parking question. The Grenadier is 4,927 mm long including its full-size spare, according to INEOS’s official GB support specification. The space you have to enter, the angle of approach, nearby walls or vehicles, and the room to turn around all affect whether it is manageable in practice.

What should you expect to spend on fuel?
Plan for frequent fuel stops and substantial fuel spending relative to a more economical vehicle. - Measure the usable parking space, including the room needed to get in and out.
- Check the height limit at your garage, workplace, and the car parks you use. Do not assume that a space which fits the length will also suit the vehicle’s height.
- Try the turns and approaches you make routinely, including any narrow entrance or tight car-park ramp.
- Test parking and low-speed turns in the exact model year you are considering. The 2026 steering revision is a reported improvement over 2025, so an older test drive may not reflect the newer model’s turning circle.

Consumer Reports notes the high step into the cabin. That can make frequent entry and exit a nuisance, or a more significant issue for anyone in your household who finds a high step difficult. Try getting in and out repeatedly rather than treating a single showroom entry as a sufficient test.
Top Gear reports that the spare and split rear door impede rear visibility. Its review also says rear knee room can be tight when a tall occupant is in front. These are practical points to check with your household, not just details to inspect from the driver’s seat. Sit in the seats people will use, position the front seat for the actual driver, and check the rear view with the spare and door arrangement in place.

- Have each regular passenger try entry, exit and their normal seating position.
- Set the driver’s seat for the person who will use it most, then check rear knee room behind that seat.
- Look through the rear sightlines and try the mirrors while the vehicle is parked and during a drive.
- Consider whether the spare’s effect on rearward visibility matters on your usual roads and when reversing into your regular parking space.
A short test drive can reveal whether the seating and sightlines work for you, but it cannot establish long-term passenger comfort for every journey. If you often carry the same passengers, take them along to assess the actual arrangement.
