The report says the bike is believed to use the company’s existing 457 cc twin; that is speculation about the prototype, not an official specification or launch announcement.
What has actually been reported about the Tuareg 457?
Italian motorcycle publication Dueruote reported on February 16, 2026, that a smaller Tuareg prototype had been spotted. The outlet said it was believed to be based on the 457 cc twin-cylinder platform used in the RS 457 and Tuono 457. That is the extent of the established claim: a reported prototype and a presumed engine platform, not confirmation that Aprilia will sell the motorcycle.
Dueruote’s report frames the question as when a smaller Tuareg might arrive, but does not establish a launch date, production plan, or final configuration. No official Tuareg 457 technical sheet or price was established in the sources available as of October 7, 2026.
What Aprilia’s existing 457 models tell us—and what they don’t
Tuono 457 engine figures
Aprilia’s 2025 Tuono 457 press material identifies a 457 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin. Aprilia lists output at 47.6 hp (35 kW) at 9,400 rpm and peak torque at 43.5 Nm at 6,700 rpm. Those are Tuono 457 figures, not confirmed Tuareg 457 specifications.

The official Tuono 457 press release and Tuono 457 technical specifications provide useful context for the platform the prototype is reported to draw on. They do not show how Aprilia might tune or equip an adventure version.
Tuareg 660 is a separate motorcycle
Aprilia’s Tuareg brochure describes the larger Tuareg 660, not a 457. It lists 80 hp, 70 Nm, and an average range of 450 km. These published figures belong to the Tuareg 660 and should not be treated as estimates for a smaller model.

Aprilia’s Tuareg brochure gives a reference for the existing adventure model, but it does not confirm the smaller bike’s engine output, range, chassis, rider aids, or off-road equipment.
Is there a confirmed release date or market?
No launch date or confirmed market for a Tuareg 457 was established. Aprilia Argentina announced on January 19, 2026, that the Tuono 457 and RS 457 were available in Argentina. That regional announcement concerns those two models only; it does not confirm an adventure model or worldwide availability.

A spotted prototype can indicate development activity, but it does not establish that a motorcycle will reach production or that a production version will match the presumed platform.
