Automobili Rodrigues advertises the Berlinetta Veloce as a bespoke grand tourer available with a 9-liter, twin-charged 18-cylinder engine—but the available evidence does not establish that it is a proven production car. Its engine figures and unusual architecture are manufacturer claims, and independent reporting has questioned the car’s production status. The sources reviewed also disagree on the car’s V12 specification.
What is the Berlinetta Veloce?
The Berlinetta Veloce is a car Automobili Rodrigues presents as a bespoke, hand-built grand tourer. The company describes hand-formed aluminum bodywork, a customized cabin and a choice of custom manual or automated transmissions on its official Berlinetta Veloce page.
Those descriptions establish what the company promotes, not that customer cars have been completed or delivered. New Atlas’s March 20, 2026 account described the vehicle as a concept and said it could not identify a clear production history or verifiable customer cars. That reporting raises a legitimate verification concern; it does not prove the car does not exist.
What engines does the company claim to offer?
9-liter naturally aspirated V12
Automobili Rodrigues lists a naturally aspirated 9-liter V12 rated at 1,000 hp at 7,000 rpm. These are the manufacturer’s specifications; the reviewed sources do not provide independent test results confirming them.

9-liter Triangolare 18
The company also describes a 9-liter engine it calls the Triangolare 18. It says the engine has opposed cylinders, is valveless, and uses both turbocharging and supercharging. The company’s stated output is 2,650 Nm of torque at 2,100 rpm. The architecture and figures are manufacturer claims, not independently verified results in the sources reviewed.
Why do published V12 specifications conflict?
New Atlas reported a different baseline V12 specification in its March 20, 2026 article: 7.0 liters, more than 900 hp and a 10,200-rpm redline. That conflicts with Automobili Rodrigues’ current product page, which lists a 9-liter V12 producing 1,000 hp at 7,000 rpm.

The available sources do not explain whether the company changed the proposed engine or whether the report reflects a separate specification. The two descriptions should not be combined or treated as interchangeable; resolving the difference would require dated technical documentation or independent testing.
What is established—and what remains unverified?
The official page documents the company’s advertised design and options. The independent account documents a lack of clear production history and verifiable customer cars at the time of its reporting. Together, they support describing the Berlinetta Veloce as an advertised bespoke car whose production status remains unestablished in the sources reviewed—not as a proven production hypercar.

Automobili Rodrigues frames the car as a highly individualized coachbuilt project, emphasizing bespoke finishes and construction rather than presenting a conventional mass-produced model. Its phrase “A car not manufactured—but created” is company marketing copy, not evidence of production or engineering validation. The distinction matters: an ambitious specification can be reported accurately as a claim without implying that it has been independently demonstrated.
