Its most distinctive details are a blue racing-inspired dial with an enlarged “Big Eye” minute counter, a 39.5 mm steel case and a 400-watch numbered run. Baltic’s archive records the edition as sold in April 2025, so its launch prices are historical rather than a current offer.
What’s new about the Baltic Scalegraph Tour Auto 2025 Limited Edition?
This edition gives Baltic’s Scalegraph chronograph a visual identity tied to the Tour Auto rally. The dial pairs a light-blue satin finish with off-white azurage subdials, while the enlarged minute counter—the “Big Eye”—is designed to make elapsed minutes easier to read at a glance. Baltic describes the colors as a motorsport legibility reference and a nod to the Tour de France Automobile palette. That is the brand’s design rationale, not a claim of measured legibility performance.
The limited edition marked Baltic’s third year as the event’s official timekeeper. Monochrome’s 31 March 2025 launch coverage describes the Tour Auto as the historic reincarnation of the Tour de France Automobile, a race created in 1899 by the Automobile Club de France. Baltic’s archive says the 2025 route ran from Paris to Nice and names a 1963 Lotus Elan 26R and a 1965 MG B as the Baltic racing team’s entries.

The bezel is aluminum and carries a tachymeter scale. The crown is engraved, and the chronograph pushers screw down. Baltic pairs those pushers with a stated 100 m water-resistance rating; the rating is the manufacturer’s specification, not an independent test result.

The blue dial uses Super-LumiNova BGW9. Baltic offered the watch with either a steel beads-of-rice or flat-link bracelet, plus a navy Alcantara strap. The 20 mm lug width is a useful starting point if choosing another strap, but width alone does not establish compatibility with the watch’s case geometry or bracelet end links. Baltic says the watch was assembled in France.
How does the hand-wound chronograph work?
The watch uses the manually wound Sellita SW510-M. Baltic lists a 63-hour power reserve and stop seconds. Monochrome reports a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), central chronograph seconds, and 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters. These are published specifications, not independently tested performance figures.

For a racing chronograph, the layout matters as much as the movement name: the central hand measures elapsed seconds, while the two subdials record longer intervals. The oversized minute register is the design’s clearest departure from a conventional balanced subdial layout, prioritizing the minutes counter visually.
How many were made, and what did it cost at launch?
Baltic’s official archive lists 400 numbered pieces and says the edition sold in April 2025. Monochrome’s launch coverage stated prices of €1,750 excluding VAT and €2,100 including taxes. These are launch-era amounts, not current pricing or evidence of present availability.

Because the run is recorded as sold, anyone comparing offers should verify the specific watch’s condition, completeness, and seller’s claims rather than assume the archived price still applies. The archive is useful for confirming the original specifications and included strap configuration.

Use the features that affect wear and use, not the racing theme alone. Case diameter and 47 mm lug-to-lug help frame wrist fit; 14.1 mm thickness also matters if the watch needs to fit under a cuff. Compare manual winding with the other watch’s winding method, then check whether the chronograph counters record the intervals you care about.
