United Dairy Farmers plans to add Level 3 DC fast charging at six Ohio stores, with the first stations expected to come online in early 2027. The sites are in the Greater Cincinnati and Columbus areas, and the charging experience is planned to connect with U-Drive Plus rewards. The chargers are not operating yet, and UDF has not announced their prices, power output, connectors or port counts.
Where UDF plans to install chargers
UDF selected six stores through Ohio’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program, working with the Ohio Department of Transportation and utility partners. The planned locations, as listed in the October 6, 2026 announcement, are:

UDF says it chose some of its newest stores for their food and beverage selection, indoor and outdoor seating, clear sightlines to the chargers and public Wi-Fi. The company estimates a typical guest stay at 20 to 30 minutes. That is UDF’s stated estimate, not a promised charging time; how long a vehicle needs to charge depends on the vehicle and charging conditions.

Jim Dwenger, UDF’s Head of Retail, said the aim is to provide “the fuel of the future” while offering guests a place to recharge themselves with ice cream, a meal, a snack or a drink. Rob Lindner, UDF Corporate Head of Initiatives, said the company is looking at how to make those 20-to-30-minute visits convenient, valuable and enjoyable. Both remarks appeared in Electric Era’s announcement.
How U-Drive Plus rewards are expected to work
UDF says charging will be integrated with its U-Drive Plus program. Members are expected to receive credits off charging, and qualifying in-store purchases can earn additional credits. The company also describes personalized food and beverage offers through its app and at the stations.

The announcement does not provide a credit conversion rate, eligible purchases, redemption rules or other detailed terms. Drivers should wait for those details before treating rewards as a predictable discount on a charging session. The UDF/Electric Era announcement describes the planned rewards connection.
What drivers still need to know
The announcement confirms Level 3 DC fast charging, but it does not specify the charger’s power output, connector type, number of ports at each store or charging prices. Electrek also reports those details as undisclosed. Its suggestion that Electric Era’s 400-kW chargers may be used is speculation, not a specification confirmed by UDF or Electric Era. For a useful decision once a station opens, check the location and route access, connector compatibility with your vehicle, confirmed power and available ports, current price, and the applicable U-Drive Plus terms. The published announcements do not yet establish those operating details.

Electric Era states a guarantee of more than 98% per-port uptime and more than 85% first-plug-in success. Those are the vendor’s company-stated guarantees; they are not independent performance measurements for the six planned UDF locations, which have not yet opened. Quincy Lee, Electric Era’s founder and CEO, said the partnership is intended to pair reliable, fast charging with UDF’s store amenities. His remarks were included in the company announcement.
