The 2024 Repco Bathurst 1000 is over. It took place at Mount Panorama in Bathurst, New South Wales, from Thursday, October 10, to Sunday, October 13, 2024. Australian viewers could watch the televised portion of the event free on 7plus, but the free coverage began on Friday rather than Thursday and did not include every practice session.
Viewers who wanted every session needed a paid service such as Kayo Sports, Foxtel, or SuperView for international coverage. The race itself started at 11:30 a.m. AEDT on Sunday, October 13.

The free 2024 Bathurst 1000 stream in Australia
7plus was the official free streaming option for Australian viewers. Seven Network coverage was also available through Channel 7 and 7mate, while 7plus provided the online stream.

That distinction matters: saying that 7plus showed the “entire Bathurst weekend” would be misleading. The free broadcast did not cover all Thursday practice activity listed in the complete event schedule.
What the 7plus broadcast included
The 7plus option was the free-to-view version of Seven’s televised Bathurst coverage. It was suitable for viewers who wanted the main broadcast, qualifying-related coverage, the Top Ten Shootout, and the Sunday race as scheduled by Seven.
It was not the same as the complete session-by-session coverage available through paid motorsport services. Coverage availability also depended on being in Australia; 7plus should not be presented as a free international stream.

7plus supports browser viewing and a range of mobile, television, console, and streaming-device platforms. Compatibility can change, so check the current 7plus device-support information before the next event.
The documented device categories include:
- Web browsers and mobile devices
- Samsung and LG smart TVs
- PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5
- Apple TV HD or newer
- Chromecast with Google TV
- Supported Android TV and Google TV devices
- Amazon Fire Sticks from the third generation onward
If you need a separate streaming device, an Amazon Fire TV Stick that meets 7plus’s stated generation requirement may be a practical option for an Australian household. It does not remove 7plus’s geographic restrictions, and not every Fire TV model should be assumed to be compatible.
Another fallback is to open 7plus on a laptop and connect the computer to a television with an HDMI cable for laptop-to-TV streaming. 7plus identifies HDMI connection as an option when a supported television app is unavailable. Picture quality and audio can depend on the laptop, browser, cable, and television settings.
Where to watch every Bathurst 1000 session
If your priority was Thursday practice, all qualifying sessions, and uninterrupted access to the complete event schedule, the free 7plus broadcast was not enough.
Recommended Free Tools
Kayo Sports and Foxtel in Australia
Kayo Sports and Foxtel carried the complete Supercars event coverage, including practice, qualifying, and the race. Kayo’s coverage was the paid alternative identified for viewers wanting sessions without advertising breaks during racing.
These services were not free-stream options. They were the appropriate Australian choices for viewers who wanted more track action than the Seven/7plus broadcast provided.
SuperView outside Australia and New Zealand
Supercars directed international viewers to SuperView for every Bathurst 1000 session. SuperView was described as a subscription service for viewers outside Australia and New Zealand, with territory-specific broadcast partners also applying in some countries.
The research did not identify an official, unrestricted, full-race international stream that was free. Overseas viewers should therefore check Supercars’ current international viewing information and their local rights-holder before assuming that 7plus will work in their country.
New Zealand
New Zealand viewers could watch the event live in HD through Sky Sport. That was a paid regional broadcast option, not a free 7plus stream.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you still watch the 2024 race?
Because the 2024 event has finished, there is no current live stream to watch. Availability of full-race replays, highlights, and archived sessions can change after an event and may depend on your country and subscription.

For legitimate post-race video, start with the official Supercars video and broadcast channels, then check the relevant broadcaster or streaming service in your region. A replay may not have the same free-access terms as the original 7plus broadcast, so do not assume that a past live stream remains available indefinitely.
What not to rely on
Unofficial “free stream” websites should not be treated as legitimate Bathurst viewing options. They can disappear without notice, carry intrusive advertising or malicious downloads, and may infringe broadcast rights. The official pathways researched for this event were 7plus and Seven in Australia, Kayo Sports and Foxtel for complete Australian coverage, SuperView or local rights-holders internationally, and Sky Sport in New Zealand.
A VPN should not be described as an official free-stream solution either. It may conflict with a service’s terms, does not create broadcast rights where they do not exist, and cannot guarantee that 7plus or another platform will play the event.
Quick decision guide

| You were outside Australia and New Zealand | SuperView or a local rights-holder | Usually a subscription or territory-specific broadcast arrangement |

| You wanted to watch after October 13, 2024 | Official Supercars or broadcaster video pages | Replay and highlight availability varies by location and time |
For the next Bathurst 1000
Broadcast rights, start times, streaming services, and device compatibility are changeable. Before the next race, check the current Supercars broadcast guide rather than relying on the 2024 schedule. Australian viewers should confirm whether Seven and 7plus again carry the free portion, while international viewers should check SuperView and their local broadcaster.
