Yes—you can use SimHub with F1 25 on PS5, but SimHub must run on a computer. Set the game to send UDP telemetry to that computer’s local network IP address, then make sure the UDP port in F1 25 matches SimHub’s F1 25 configuration. The PS5 runs the game; the computer receives its telemetry.
What you need
- A PS5 running F1 25.
- A computer on the same local network, running SimHub. You do not install SimHub on the PS5.
- A SimHub-compatible dashboard or device only if you want to use one. It is optional for checking whether telemetry reaches SimHub.
SimHub’s console setup guidance explains that console games connect to SimHub software running on a computer. It also notes that hardware plugged directly into a console, such as a wheel or pedals, is not recognized by SimHub.
Set up F1 25 telemetry on PS5
- Find the computer’s local IPv4 address. On Windows, open Command Prompt, run
ipconfig, and note the IPv4 Address for the network connection in use. Use this address as the destination in the game—not127.0.0.1, which refers to the computer itself. - Open F1 25’s telemetry settings. In the game’s settings, go to Telemetry Settings and enable UDP telemetry. EA says UDP output is controlled through F1 25’s in-game menus, where you can configure the receiving IP address, port, broadcast mode, and send rate: EA’s F1 25 data-output guide.
- Set the receiving IP address. Enter the computer’s local IPv4 address as the telemetry target.
- Match the UDP port. Check the port displayed in F1 25 and the port in SimHub’s F1 25 game configuration; they must match. A June 2025 PS5 walkthrough shows port 20777, but verify the live settings rather than assuming that value applies to every configuration: F1 25 PS5 setup walkthrough.
- Check SimHub’s game configuration and format. Keep SimHub current and select the appropriate F1 25 telemetry format for the apps you use. SimHub’s June 3, 2026 release notes say version 9.11.14 added support for the F1 25 2026 Season Pack telemetry format, available whether or not that season pack was purchased. They also describe an F1 25 legacy UDP format option for older apps: SimHub release notes.
- Enter a race and check SimHub. Many games are not identified by SimHub until you enter a race, so test during gameplay rather than only from a menu.
Choose a telemetry format and send rate
F1 25 supports a new UDP format while retaining the previous two, and EA documents the format and send rate as configurable settings. SimHub’s release notes cover its newer F1 25 format support and legacy-format option. If you also use another telemetry app or accessory, check its format requirements before choosing settings; there is no single send rate or format established as best for every setup. See EA’s F1 25 telemetry format specification and the SimHub release notes.
If SimHub does not receive telemetry
- Recheck the target IP. F1 25 should send to the computer’s current local IP address. The address
127.0.0.1is loopback and is not the computer’s network address from the PS5’s perspective. - Allow SimHub through the computer’s firewall. SimHub’s console guidance specifically calls out opening firewall access for the connection.
- Test during a race. SimHub notes that many games only appear as connected after a race has started.
- Check for network or app conflicts. SimHub lists VPN interception and other telemetry apps as possible causes. Temporarily rule those out while diagnosing.
- Use forwarding if multiple apps need the data. A UDP stream may be received by only one application. SimHub documents forwarding received data to another port or computer, which can help when another app also needs the stream: SimHub UDP forwarding guidance.
What this setup can and cannot do
This arrangement sends F1 25 telemetry from the PS5 to SimHub running on a computer over the local network. It does not make SimHub a PS5 app, and it does not give SimHub direct access to peripherals plugged into the console. SimHub can use compatible PC-side devices and features, but the computer is required to run its software.
