Tesla’s live configurator should take priority over any third-party listing or published price table. A particular inventory vehicle can cost more than the advertised starting price because of its configuration and installed options. For example, a current Tesla inventory example showed a Cyberbeast priced at $101,990 before taxes and registration.

Do not treat $99,990 as a national, all-in Cyberbeast price. Tesla’s order materials state that taxes and official or government fees are additional, and Tesla also identifies a non-negotiable destination fee for new vehicle orders. The total varies by state, locality, delivery location, options, trade-in, financing, and other transaction details.
Step 1: Start the order through Tesla
Go to Tesla’s Cybertruck design and order page and select the configuration you want, or visit a Tesla store and place the order there. Tesla’s general ordering guidance supports both online ordering and ordering at a Tesla store.
If getting the truck sooner matters more than choosing every detail, check Tesla’s existing inventory as well as the custom-order path. Tesla specifically directs customers seeking faster delivery to local existing inventory. An inventory vehicle may have a different configuration or price from the model shown in the standard configurator, so review its individual vehicle details before ordering.

Step 2: Select the configuration and options
Choose the Cybertruck configuration, exterior and interior choices, software or driver-assistance options, and any available accessories shown in the live configurator. The choices Tesla displays—and the equipment included with a particular order—can change over time.
Before submitting the order, save or print the complete configuration and price information shown in your Tesla Account. Pay particular attention to:
- The exact model and drivetrain configuration
- Included and optional equipment
- Software features and subscription-related selections
- Wheel and tire choices
- Destination charges
- Taxes, registration, and other government fees
- Trade-in credits or payoff information
- Financing or lease terms, if applicable
- The estimated delivery timing shown for your location
Tesla’s Cybertruck pre-order agreement says the Vehicle Configuration and Final Price Sheet control the transaction. An earlier price or estimate shown before the final price sheet may change and may not include taxes or official government fees. The agreement also says that features, options, or hardware released after an order may not be included in that vehicle.
Step 3: Pay the order fee
Placing an order requires a one-time, non-refundable order fee paid by credit card under Tesla’s general ordering guidance. The Cybertruck pre-order agreement separately explains that the pre-order payment is applied as a credit toward the final pre-order price when you take delivery. Taxes and official or government fees are separate.

Because the fee is non-refundable under the general ordering terms, review the selected configuration and the applicable order agreement before submitting payment. Tesla’s Cybertruck FAQ states that a reservation can be canceled before delivery through the Tesla Account, with a full refund of the pre-order payment; however, the general order fee and any other amounts may be governed by their specific terms. Keep copies of the order confirmation and agreements.
Step 4: Move the order into the Tesla app
After ordering, download the Tesla app and sign in with the same Tesla Account credentials used for the order. The app becomes the main place to complete your pre-delivery tasks and monitor the order.
Tesla requires buyers to provide information such as:
- Registration details
- Delivery location
- Insurance information
- Payment or financing information
- Trade-in details, if applicable
When Tesla assigns a vehicle identification number, the app can be used to upload proof of insurance. Complete these tasks promptly: an incomplete registration, insurance, financing, payment, or trade-in step can delay delivery even after a vehicle has been assigned.

Tesla says buyers may be able to purchase outright, finance through Tesla or another financier, lease where available, and apply a trade-in value. Availability depends on factors such as your state, credit approval, vehicle eligibility, and Tesla’s current offerings.
Paying in cash
For the final payment, Tesla lists electronic check or direct debit through the app, wire transfer, or certified check at delivery. Tesla says the final payment must come from a single account. Verify the exact amount and payment instructions in the Tesla app rather than relying on an older email or third-party guide.
Financing or leasing
Tesla financing and leasing are subject to credit approval and are not available in every state. Compare the complete transaction—not just the monthly payment—including the amount financed, interest rate, loan term, required down payment, fees, mileage or residual terms for a lease, and the final amount paid.

Do not assume that a particular APR, incentive, tax treatment, or lease structure applies to every buyer. Your live Tesla Account and lender documents control.
Trade-ins
If you are trading in a vehicle, submit the requested vehicle information and documents through Tesla’s process. Check whether the quoted value is contingent on an inspection, whether there is an outstanding loan payoff, and how the trade-in credit appears on the Final Price Sheet. A trade-in can reduce the amount you finance, but it does not eliminate taxes, registration, destination charges, or other transaction costs automatically.
Step 6: Wait for assignment and schedule delivery
Tesla does not guarantee a fixed delivery date in the Cybertruck pre-order agreement. Timing depends on the configuration, production, logistics, your location, and current inventory.
Once Tesla assigns a vehicle and has an arrival estimate, the company sends an app notification so you can schedule delivery. Tesla identifies the app as the source of truth for the latest delivery timing. Dates can move, so check the app rather than treating an earlier estimate as guaranteed.
Depending on your location and eligibility, Tesla may make the Cybertruck available for pickup at a delivery center or arrange delivery to your location. Tesla also describes a fee-based independent-carrier delivery option for customers who live more than 220 miles from the nearest Tesla delivery location, subject to qualification and carrier arrangements. This option is not necessarily available to every buyer.

Use the Tesla app to finish the following tasks before your appointment:
- Confirm insurance. Upload proof of insurance after a VIN is assigned and meet your state’s requirements.
- Complete registration information. Check that your legal name, address, and registration details are correct.
- Finalize payment. Confirm the exact amount due, payment method, and any lender requirements.
- Complete financing documents. Do not wait until the delivery appointment if electronic signatures or proof of insurance are required.
- Finish the trade-in process. Provide payoff, title, registration, and inspection information when requested.
- Prepare home charging. Review the charging equipment and electrical setup you will need before the truck arrives.
- Review the final documents. Compare the Final Price Sheet with the configuration you saved when ordering.
At pickup, Tesla’s standard delivery guidance says you accept the vehicle and complete final payment in the Tesla app. Inspect the vehicle and confirm that the configuration and promised equipment match your documents before completing acceptance, subject to Tesla’s delivery procedures and applicable law.

Cyberbeast pricing: why a “$100K” truck can cost more
The Cyberbeast’s $99,990 starting price is close enough to $100,000 to make the nickname understandable. But several separate charges can increase the final amount:
- Selected options or a higher-priced configuration
- A destination charge
- Sales or use tax
- Title, registration, and other government fees
- Financing costs
- Optional accessories or protection products
- Delivery-related charges, where applicable
For that reason, the correct question is not “Is the Cyberbeast a $99,990 truck?” It is “What is the final amount on my Vehicle Configuration and Final Price Sheet for my delivery location?” A $101,990 inventory Cyberbeast example illustrates how a particular vehicle can exceed the advertised starting price even before taxes and registration.
What was the Cyberbeast Luxe Package?
Tesla’s current FAQ documents a Luxe Package for qualifying Cyberbeast orders placed between August 21, 2025, and February 19, 2026. Tesla says that package included:
- FSD (Supervised)
- Free Supercharging
- Free Premium Connectivity
- Four years of wheel-and-tire protection
- Four years of windshield protection
- Four years of recommended maintenance
Tesla described the package as included in the purchase price for qualifying orders and not separately purchasable. That was an order-period qualification—not a guarantee that a new order placed after that period, including an August 2026 order, receives the same bundle. Check the live configurator and your final order documents for any current package or included feature.
Custom order versus existing inventory

Cancellation, transfer, and resale restrictions
Tesla’s Cybertruck FAQ says you can cancel a reservation before delivery through your Tesla Account and receive a full refund of the pre-order payment. It also says Cybertruck reservations cannot be transferred.
Tesla reserves the right to cancel orders it believes were made for resale or in bad faith. Do not place multiple speculative orders assuming they can be sold or transferred later. Review the current order agreement for the terms that apply to your specific transaction.

Charging and protection accessories to arrange
The Cybertruck order itself is only part of preparing for ownership. Tesla support materials identify charging equipment, a Mobile Connector, a Powershare Outlet Adapter, interior liners, truck-bed accessories, and off-road accessories as relevant equipment categories. Some equipment may be included, while other items must be purchased separately; compatibility can also depend on the vehicle, electrical system, and intended use.
Interior protection
If you expect mud, snow, sand, or frequent cargo use, compare Tesla Cybertruck floor mats or interior liners before delivery. Check the model year, exact configuration, row coverage, attachment points, return policy, and whether the product is intended for a Foundation Series or later vehicle. Do not assume an aftermarket mat is Tesla-approved unless Tesla or the seller explicitly says so.
Bed and cargo protection
Owners may also research a Cybertruck tonneau cover, bed liner, or other cargo-protection product. Treat these as fitment-sensitive purchases: verify compatibility with the powered tonneau system, bed dimensions, accessories, and any hardware already installed on the truck. Current marketplace inventory and product quality can change, so avoid buying solely from a generic “fits Cybertruck” claim.

Review whether you need a Tesla Mobile Connector, Cybertruck Powershare Outlet Adapter, or other home-charging equipment. Before buying, confirm what is included with your vehicle, what your electrical service can support, and whether the selected Powershare equipment is compatible with your home and Cybertruck configuration.
If your home does not already have a suitable charging setup, arrange a home EV charger installation or electrical assessment early. The required work can depend on panel capacity, wiring distance, local permits, and the equipment selected. No single installer or price should be assumed to be available in every location.
