If your 2007 Honda Accord radio displays CODE after a loss of electrical power, check the radio code card in the owner’s manual kit first. If the card is missing, retrieve the radio’s serial number from the unit, then use Honda’s U.S. code-recovery service or contact a Honda dealer with the vehicle identification number (VIN) and serial number. These directions apply only to the audio configurations covered by the manual; trim, market, and navigation equipment can change the procedure.
1. Check the radio code card
The 2007 Accord Sedan owner’s manual says the radio code is printed on a card supplied with the owner’s manual kit. Look there before trying to retrieve the code. Honda recommends keeping the card at home rather than in the vehicle. [2007 Accord Sedan owner’s manual]
2. Retrieve the radio serial number if the card is missing
The manual gives this sequence for displaying the radio serial number:
- Turn the radio on until CODE appears.
- Turn the radio off.
- Press and hold preset buttons 1 and 6 and the radio’s power button at the same time, then quickly release them.
- Record the serial number shown on the display.
If the display or controls do not match these directions, stop and confirm the procedure for your radio configuration instead of guessing. The manual says a Honda dealer can access the code using the radio serial number. [2007 Accord Sedan owner’s manual]

3. Request the code from Honda
Honda’s current U.S. FAQ says code lookup requires the vehicle’s VIN and the serial number of the radio or navigation unit. It directs owners to radio-navicode.honda.com and describes the service as complimentary. The FAQ also lists a U.S. address, email address, and phone number as requirements. Check the live portal for its current instructions. If online retrieval is unavailable, contact a Honda dealer with both the VIN and device serial number; Honda says U.S. dealers cannot provide the code without them. [Honda customer FAQ]
4. Enter the five-digit code
Use the radio preset buttons to enter the five-digit radio code, following the owner’s manual for the applicable system. If you enter a digit incorrectly, do not restart the sequence: complete all five digits, then enter the correct code. The manual allows ten attempts; after ten unsuccessful attempts, leave the system on for one hour before trying again. [2007 Accord Sedan owner’s manual]

Radio and navigation codes are separate
If your Accord has navigation, identify which device is requesting a code. Honda’s support information treats radio and navigation codes as device-specific, and one code should not be assumed to unlock both systems. The manual’s Radio Theft Protection section excludes U.S. VP and LX trims and Canadian DX-G. Confirm your Accord’s trim, market, and audio equipment before applying its detailed instructions.
