Contemporary reports said she lost control and hit a road barrier, but they do not establish a final accident reconstruction or definitive cause.
What happened to Anastasia Tropitsel?
The Russian Embassy in Indonesia confirmed Tropitsel’s death to RBC on June 22, 2020. The embassy said its consular department was in contact with her parents and handling the necessary procedures. RBC reported that she was 18.
Her mother announced the death on Tropitsel’s Instagram account. RBC reproduced the message in Russian: “К сожалению, нашей Настеньки уже нет с нами. Я не могу в это поверить.” In English: “Unfortunately, our Nastya is no longer with us. I can’t believe it.” The message was attributed to her mother.
Where and when did the crash happen?
The crash occurred in Kuta, Bali, on June 21, 2020. IDN Times, citing local police reporting, placed it at about 13:45 local time on Sunset Road, near the Kunti traffic light. RBC reported the date and general location.

What did reports say about the crash?
RBC’s initial coverage cited preliminary police information that Tropitsel lost control of the motorcycle and struck a road barrier. IDN Times also reported a description attributed to Denpasar Police public relations official Iptu Ketut Sukadi. Those accounts describe what was reported at the time; they are not a definitive, independently verified reconstruction.
IDN Times identified the motorcycle as a Kawasaki Ninja 250cc. Its report also included witness statements and material attributed to a forensic doctor, but those accounts do not establish why the crash occurred.

- Reported location and timing: Local coverage placed the crash on Sunset Road near the Kunti traffic light at about 13:45 on June 21, 2020.
- Preliminary crash account: Reports said she lost control and hit a barrier.
- Not established in the cited reports: A precise speed, a final official reconstruction, or a definitive finding about mechanical failure, road surface, or another contributing cause.
RBC also reported that Tropitsel had 1.1 million Instagram followers at the time. That is a contemporaneous media-reported figure, not a current or independently verified platform count.
