Nissan’s U.S. parts catalog lists two remanufactured LEAF main battery assemblies at $2,352.94 MSRP each. That is the price of a listed part—not a complete installed replacement. Nissan’s listings flag hazardous-material shipping, and one advises contacting a dealer; neither gives a total covering diagnosis, labor, shipping, core arrangements, taxes or other charges. The only reliable way to learn your cost is to get an itemized quote for your car’s VIN.
What Nissan’s battery listings actually cost
The Nissan USA Parts Store lists the remanufactured main battery assembly 295B0-5SA3CRE at $2,352.94 MSRP. Its description says it is for a LEAF “Without plus models. To 01/19,” notes hazardous-material shipping costs and directs customers to contact a Nissan dealer for more information. Check the listing and its fitment notes.
A second catalog entry lists remanufactured assembly 295B0-4NP2DRE at the same $2,352.94 MSRP and describes it as fitting Nissan LEAF (2013–2025). The listing also flags hazardous-material shipping and says to verify compatibility. Its fitment-data area is blank, so that broad description is not a guarantee that it suits a particular car. Review the second listing.
These are catalog parts prices, not proof that a compatible pack is in stock or that a dealer will sell and install it for that amount. Nissan’s listings do not state a labor-inclusive price, diagnostic fee, core charge or credit, shipping total, taxes, or dealer fees. The cited listings are U.S. catalog information observed in 2026; prices and availability can change.

Why your installed quote can differ
LEAF packs and fitment vary by year and trim. The quoted assembly’s part number, capacity, condition and compatibility all matter, as do shipping arrangements and any core terms. Diagnosis and installation are separate from the listed part MSRP. The catalog pages do not quantify those additions, so treat them as items to verify—not as predictable fees or a reliable market-wide price range.
Nissan’s listings establish that remanufactured assemblies are listed, but they do not establish that a new-pack alternative is always available or give its price. Ask the shop to identify exactly what it is offering rather than assuming that “replacement battery” means a particular capacity or condition.

Check warranty coverage before paying
Nissan says new EVs include battery, EV-system and lithium-ion battery capacity coverage for 8 years or 100,000 miles. Whether a particular LEAF battery problem qualifies depends on the applicable model-year warranty booklet, the vehicle’s history and status, and Nissan’s coverage determination. The general coverage statement does not mean that every aging pack or capacity loss qualifies for replacement. Review Nissan’s warranty information and ask a dealer to assess your vehicle against its model-year warranty booklet.
What to ask for in a battery replacement estimate
- Confirm the diagnosis and fitment: Have a Nissan dealer or EV-qualified repairer verify the fault and identify the correct pack for your VIN.
- Ask for a warranty decision: Request the applicable model-year booklet and confirmation of whether Nissan coverage applies before authorizing customer-pay work.
- Get an itemized total: Ask the shop to separate the battery assembly, any core charge or credit, freight and hazardous-material handling, diagnosis, labor, taxes and other dealer or shop charges.
- Confirm what is being installed: Get the pack’s part number, capacity, condition (including whether it is remanufactured), parts warranty, availability and expected installation timing in writing.
- Compare the complete quote with your car: Consider the installed cost alongside the LEAF’s condition, value and your needs—not the part MSRP alone.
How a replacement quote compares with a new LEAF
For context only, Nissan’s June 11, 2024 announcement listed the 2025 LEAF S with a 40-kWh pack and a $28,140 MSRP, and the SV PLUS with a 60-kWh pack and a $36,190 MSRP. Those are new-car prices for that model year, not replacement-pack prices or estimates of what a used LEAF is worth. A repair-versus-replace decision needs your confirmed installed quote and the actual condition and value of your vehicle. See Nissan’s 2025 LEAF information.
