The Kelley Blue Book figure is a different kind of estimate from a marketplace asking-price aggregate. It is specific to a 2007 Sport Utility 2D in good condition and was valid only through September 10, 2026. What is a fair price for a used FJ Cruiser?
There is no single fair price for every FJ Cruiser. Compare examples with similar model years, mileage, condition, and location, and make sure the figures measure the same thing. An advertised price, a private-party estimate, a trade-in value, and a fair-purchase estimate are not interchangeable.

- Compare the market: Location can affect the asking prices you encounter; a national aggregate may not reflect your local listings.
- Identify the price type: Confirm whether a number is an asking price or an estimate for a private-party sale, trade-in, or purchase.
- Check the individual vehicle: Request its history and arrange an independent inspection before treating the listing price as a sound deal.
The available market figures do not establish model-specific fault rates or inspection results. A broad price statistic cannot substitute for checking the condition and history of the individual vehicle.
Is the Toyota FJ Cruiser still being made?
No. Toyota says the FJ Cruiser was discontinued in 2014, making 2014 its final U.S. model year. Toyota also says current owners can still receive service at Toyota Service Centers. Toyota’s discontinued-vehicles page.

Did Toyota bring back the FJ Cruiser?
No: the original FJ Cruiser has not returned. Toyota announced a separate vehicle, the Land Cruiser FJ, with sales in Japan beginning May 14, 2026. Toyota published a ¥4,500,100 price for its VX grade. That price is for the new Japan-market Land Cruiser FJ, not a used U.S. FJ Cruiser; the available information does not establish U.S. availability. Toyota Motor Corporation’s announcement.
Toyota Japan’s catalog describes the Land Cruiser FJ as a five-door, five-seat, part-time 4WD vehicle with a 2.7-liter engine. Those specifications belong to the new Land Cruiser FJ, not the discontinued original FJ Cruiser. Toyota Japan catalog entry.
