There is no published fixed price for a Singer DLS Turbo restoration. Singer says the cost depends on each owner’s requests, and that only a limited number of commissions will be undertaken. The service starts with the customer’s Type 964 Porsche 911 and turns it into a bespoke, extensively re-engineered car. To learn the price of a specific build, an owner must discuss the specification with Singer and obtain an individual quote.
How much does a Singer DLS Turbo cost?
Singer has not released a public DLS Turbo price list. In its June 2023 announcement, the company states: “Prices for Singer’s restoration services are dependent on the requests by each car’s owner.” That wording means there is no official base price, standard trim price or published range that can be applied to every commission. The primary statement appears in Singer’s DLS Turbo services announcement.

The amount for one car will therefore be established through a private specification and quotation process. A quote would need to reflect the owner’s chosen engine and control calibration, road- or track-oriented aerodynamic configuration, chassis and brake equipment, interior materials, paint, comfort features and other requested details. The official material does not identify an individual customer quote, a universal bill of materials, a required deposit or a standard completion charge.
The donor car is also important to the question. DLS Turbo begins with an owner’s Type 964 Porsche 911. Singer’s public descriptions do not say whether the company can source a donor for someone who does not already own one, nor do they explain how a donor’s acquisition cost, transportation, registration, taxes or duties would appear in a quotation. Those items should be confirmed directly rather than assumed.

Singer describes the commissions as limited, but its public pages do not give a total production cap or current number of open slots. Price and availability can change, so an old internet estimate cannot be treated as the price of a current build unless it documents the exact car, specification, date, market and what was included.
What the DLS Turbo restoration starts with
A customer-owned Type 964
The starting point is a Type 964 Porsche 911 supplied by the owner. This is a restoration and reimagining of an existing car, not a newly manufactured Porsche sold from a normal dealer inventory. Singer dismantles the vehicle down to its steel monocoque, then assesses, cleans and prepares the structure before strengthening the chassis.
Because every commission is built around a particular donor and client brief, two DLS Turbo cars can share the same engineering concept while differing in equipment, finish and intended use. The donor basis also explains why a simple “model price” is misleading: the work is performed on an individual 964 rather than on an identical factory shell.
A bespoke brief rather than fixed trim grades
Singer uses the language of personalized restoration. Owners choose the visual treatment, materials and many functional priorities in collaboration with the company. Road and track specifications are described as directions for the aerodynamic and control setup, not as permanently defined trim levels with an identical list of standard equipment.
Engine and powertrain included in the program
3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six
The 2023 program description specifies a 3.8-liter flat-six with four valves per cylinder and twin turbochargers. Singer says the engine uses electric wastegates, air-to-water intercooling and an electrically powered horizontal fan. The announced output is more than 700 horsepower at more than 9,000 rpm. Those figures describe the general DLS Turbo engine concept, not a guaranteed number for every future contract.

The work starts with the owner’s engine as the basis for a rebuilt and developed powertrain. Singer’s description therefore indicates substantial re-engineering rather than a bolt-on turbocharger conversion. Exact internal parts, boost targets, software calibration and final output are not listed as a universal specification.
What the first completed car achieved
In January 2026, Singer presented Sorcerer, the first completed car delivered through DLS Turbo services. Singer lists that particular car at 710 HP (SAE Net) and 750 Nm. Its engine uses variable-geometry twin turbochargers, water-cooled cylinder heads, air-cooled cylinders and an electrically powered fan. The 710-HP and 750-Nm numbers belong to Sorcerer’s announced configuration; they should not be read as a contract guarantee for every DLS Turbo commission. Manual transmission and rear-wheel drive
The program description pairs the engine with a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. That combination keeps the driver responsible for gear selection instead of using an automated dual-clutch transmission. The sources do not state whether alternative gear ratios, clutch choices or final-drive specifications are available on every commission, so those details belong in the owner’s engineering brief.
Carbon bodywork and selectable aero direction
Lightweight carbon-fiber panels
The bodywork is made from carbon fiber and shaped with computational-fluid-dynamics analysis. Singer describes different front-fascia and rear-body treatments for road-focused and track-focused use. The objective is to reduce mass while managing cooling and aerodynamic load around the 911’s rear-engine layout.
Road, track or a switchable combination
An owner can request hardware that allows the car to switch between road- and track-oriented configurations. Whether that flexibility is selected, and exactly which components are exchanged or adjusted, depends on the commission. It should not be assumed that every car includes both configurations or a quick-change system.

Sorcerer illustrates how personal the brief can be. Its owner chose a deep front spoiler and a larger raised rear wing. Those parts show the range of the program, but they are not mandatory equipment on every DLS Turbo.

These are planning considerations, not published package names or fixed Singer trim grades.
Chassis, suspension, controls and brakes
Strengthened monocoque and revised suspension
After the 964 is stripped, Singer prepares and strengthens the steel monocoque. The company also develops chassis components as part of the reimagining. On Sorcerer, the listed suspension uses double wishbones at the front and lightweight trailing arms at the rear. That arrangement is specific to the completed example’s announced specification; the public program description does not provide a complete suspension menu for every customer car.
Electronic intervention modes
Sorcerer has five selectable modes: Road, Sport, Track, Off and Weather. They alter the intervention of the electronic stability and traction-control systems. A customer who wants a similar range of adjustment should confirm which control modes, sensors and calibration are included in the proposed build rather than assuming Sorcerer’s software is universal.
Carbon-ceramic brakes and magnesium wheels
The 2023 DLS Turbo description lists carbon-ceramic brakes with monobloc calipers. It also specifies forged magnesium center-lock wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 or Cup 2R tires are named for the program. Sorcerer uses CCM-R carbon-ceramic discs, monobloc calipers, the same 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheel dimensions, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

The tire choice matters to the intended use: Cup 2 and Cup 2R are high-performance track-capable tires, and their behavior in wet conditions, temperature and road legality should be discussed for the owner’s jurisdiction. The public releases do not state a single tire compound or wheel finish that applies to every car.
Interior, comfort equipment and finishes
Owner-selected materials
Paint, leather and other materials are bespoke. Singer does not publish a universal interior palette or a standard equipment checklist for all DLS Turbo cars. The owner’s brief determines the balance between minimalist motorsport character, long-distance comfort and modern usability.
Sorcerer’s cabin as an example
Sorcerer demonstrates the level of detail that can be specified. Its cabin combines Pebble Grey leather, Pearl Grey Alcantara seat centers, Champagne piping and bright trim. Satin carbon fiber, hand-built gauges and a rear cross-brace are also listed. Comfort and convenience equipment includes a nose lift, air-conditioning, navigation and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Those items show what one client selected; they are not a promise that every commission receives air-conditioning, navigation, CarPlay, a cross-brace or the same colors. A purchaser should have each desired feature written into the specification and quotation.

Singer’s public information supports the following practical sequence, although it does not publish a fixed schedule or delivery time:

- Submit the donor and initial brief. The owner identifies the Type 964 and explains intended use, preferred road/track balance, performance priorities and design direction.
- Agree the engineering and design scope. The parties define engine development, transmission, chassis, brakes, wheels, aero, controls, cabin materials, paint and comfort equipment. These choices determine the individual quotation.
- Disassemble and prepare the structure. Singer takes the car to its steel monocoque, inspects and cleans it, then performs the stated chassis strengthening and preparation.
- Develop and assemble the car. The rebuilt powertrain, carbon bodywork, suspension, brakes, wiring, interior and owner-selected finishes are integrated as one specification.
- Validate the finished vehicle. Singer says its test cars complete thousands of miles at Millbrook, IDIADA, Nardo and the Nürburgring. The company also says TÜV certification for its services is carried out at the Nürburgring. These are Singer’s described validation and certification activities, not an independent performance test of every customer car.
- Hand over the completed commission. Final equipment, documentation, registration responsibilities and delivery arrangements should be confirmed in the customer’s contract for the relevant country.
The releases do not state how long any stage takes, how often an owner can revise the brief, or what happens if a donor requires additional structural work. Those are appropriate questions to ask before signing a commission.
Questions to resolve before requesting a quote
- Do you already own a suitable Type 964, and if not, can Singer assist with donor sourcing?
- Is the car primarily for public roads, track days or both?
- Do you want fixed road or track aero, or hardware that permits switching?
- Which output, torque delivery and engine-control characteristics are required?
- Which gearbox, suspension, brake, wheel and tire specifications are included?
- Which paint, leather, Alcantara, carbon-fiber and gauge details are part of the written scope?
- Are air-conditioning, navigation, Apple CarPlay, a nose lift or other comfort features required?
- Does the quoted amount include donor acquisition, transport, taxes, duties, registration and delivery to your country?
- What is the expected commissioning window, and is a slot currently available?
These questions do not create a Singer price; they make the requested specification precise enough for Singer to prepare one.
Why the DLS Turbo name matters
The program is rooted in the idea of combining the high-revving character developed through Singer’s DLS work with turbocharging. Singer’s 2023 announcement also references the Porsche Type 934/5, saying that it won six of eight races and the SCCA Trans American championship in 1977. That is Singer’s historical statement and explains the motorsport inspiration; it is not a claim that a road-going DLS Turbo has the same race specification.
The engineering ambition is reflected in the company’s description of thousands of test miles across several facilities. Nevertheless, those statements describe Singer’s own development and certification process. They should not be treated as an independent ranking of the car against other modern performance vehicles.

Bottom line for a prospective owner
A Singer DLS Turbo is a limited, bespoke restoration rather than a car with a published MSRP. The reliable answer to “How much does it cost?” is that Singer has not disclosed a fixed public price; the owner must request a current quotation based on a particular Type 964, engineering brief and finish schedule. The build can include a strengthened monocoque, a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six, six-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive, carbon-fiber bodywork, sophisticated brakes and wheels, road/track aero choices and a fully personalized cabin. Sorcerer’s 710-HP specification and detailed equipment list show what one completed commission can contain, but the final content—and therefore the final price—belongs to each owner’s contract.
