Short answer: Suzuki GB lists a 0–60 mph time of 3.2 seconds and a nominal top speed of 186 mph for the Hayabusa. Those are manufacturer figures, not results from a documented independent test of the 2026 model. Suzuki GB also cites a separate 2.6-second launch result by Bruce Dunn. The recent independent quarter-mile result available here comes from a 2022-generation test at high altitude, not a 2026 test.
How fast is the new Suzuki Hayabusa?
Suzuki GB’s current product page gives the Hayabusa a 0–60 mph time of 3.2 seconds and a nominal top speed of 186 mph. The page does not specify a repeatable timing protocol for either figure, so they should be read as Suzuki GB’s published claims rather than a guaranteed result for every bike or rider. Suzuki’s US site identifies the current model as the 2026 Hayabusa, powered by a 1,340cc liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine with a six-speed transmission. That specification identifies the model; it is not an acceleration test result. Suzuki Cycles: 2026 Hayabusa
What is the Hayabusa 0–60 time?
Suzuki GB publishes 3.2 seconds for 0–60 mph. The same page separately reports that Bruce Dunn achieved 2.6 seconds during Suzuki’s official launch. Suzuki does not provide a repeatable test protocol for that launch result on the page, so it should not be treated as the typical 0–60 time or as an independently verified figure. Standing-start acceleration depends on more than the engine. Launch-control settings, rider technique, rider and bike load, tire condition, surface, and weather can affect the result. Suzuki Canada says the 2026 model has updates to Launch Control and Power Mode Selector settings, making the configuration relevant when comparing tests—but the Canadian page does not report acceleration timings. How fast is a Hayabusa in the quarter-mile?
The recent independent result in the available coverage is Cycle World’s test of the 2022-generation Hayabusa at Utah Motorsports Campus. The test report describes a sea-level-corrected quarter-mile in the low 10-second range with a 145-mph trap speed. The venue is about 4,400 feet above sea level, and the report notes that altitude reduced performance. This is useful context for that test, but it is neither an uncorrected result nor a test of the 2026 bike. Cycle World: 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa First Track and Performance Test

How to read the top-speed figures
Suzuki GB’s 186-mph figure is described as a nominal top speed. Suzuki Deutschland lists a maximum speed of 295 km/h under WVTA type approval, alongside 140 kW at 9,700 rpm. These figures come from different regional sources and contexts; the type-approval value is not proof of an unrestricted instrumented run, and the two top-speed numbers should not be treated as directly comparable test measurements. Historical Hayabusa performance is not a 2026 test
Cycle World’s July 2011 retrospective summarizes an earlier-generation Hayabusa test with a 0–60 mph time of 2.58 seconds, a 9.90-second quarter-mile at 147.94 mph, and a measured top speed of 186 mph. These are historical figures for an earlier bike, not evidence of what a stock 2026 model will achieve. Cycle World: Suzuki Hayabusa | JULY ’11

Is there an independent 2026 acceleration test?
The evidence cited here does not establish a fully specified independent test of a stock 2026 Hayabusa. In particular, it does not provide a 2026 result tied to identified timing equipment, bike and rider mass, surface, weather, and launch settings. The most defensible comparison is therefore Suzuki GB’s published acceleration claim alongside the clearly qualified 2022 quarter-mile report—not a blended estimate drawn from different generations and test conditions.
