What is Honda’s new electric motorcycle called?
It is the Honda WN7, Honda’s first full-size electric motorcycle and its first electric naked model in the company’s FUN category. “Naked” describes the motorcycle’s body style; FUN is Honda’s category label. The WN7 is the production version of the EV Fun Concept Honda showed in 2024, unveiled publicly at EICMA in Milan on November 4, 2025. Honda describes the project’s development concept as “Be the Wind.” Honda’s November 4, 2025 announcement covers the unveiling and technical design.
How far can the Honda WN7 go on a charge?
Honda’s regional WN7 page lists a 9.3 kWh fixed lithium-ion battery and a range of 140 km under WMTC Mode 2. The figure is a test-cycle rating, not a promise of the distance every rider will cover. Speed, temperature, terrain, load and riding style affect real-world range. Honda’s earlier European announcement estimated more than 130 km, a separate published estimate rather than the same stated figure and test basis. Honda’s regional WN7 specifications and its September 2025 European announcement give those figures.
How long does the WN7 take to charge?
CCS2 rapid charging
Honda says CCS2 rapid charging takes the battery from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes. That is a partial-charge time, not a full-charge estimate; it depends on access to compatible rapid-charging equipment.

Home charging
Honda’s September 2025 announcement says a full home charge takes under three hours under specified test conditions. Home charging and CCS2 rapid charging are different use cases, and exact equipment compatibility can depend on the market. Honda’s cited claims do not establish that a particular charger is supplied with every motorcycle.
How powerful is the Honda WN7?
Honda lists maximum output of 50 kW and maximum torque of 100 Nm. The company compares the output with the 600 cc class and the torque with the 1000 cc class; those are Honda’s comparisons, not independent performance tests. Honda’s EICMA overview separately names an 18 kW motor. Because Honda presents these as different terms, the 18 kW motor figure should not be treated as a replacement for, or directly equated with, the 50 kW maximum-output figure. The cited overview does not explain the distinction further. Honda’s technical announcement and EICMA overview provide the figures.

What features does the WN7 have?
- Frameless structure: The centrally positioned aluminum battery case forms part of the main frame.
- Electric powertrain: A water-cooled motor has an integrated inverter.
- Rider display and connectivity: A 5-inch TFT screen supports Honda RoadSync connectivity. Honda says RoadSync use requires a smartphone app.
- Riding controls: Honda lists four riding modes and adjustable regenerative deceleration.
- Low-speed assistance: Walking-speed forward and reverse assist can help with maneuvering, and speed limit assist is selectable.

What licence do you need, and where is the WN7 available?
Honda says the WN7 is A2-licence compliant and that an A1 version is available. Licence rules and the availability of a specific version depend on the country. Honda’s India product page says the WN7 will not be released in India and is available only in selected countries. The available Honda information does not establish a complete current sales-country list, local dealer stock or retail prices.
