Honda recall 25V785 covers certain 2023–2025 Accord Hybrid vehicles whose Integrated Control Module (ICM) software may reset while driving, potentially causing a loss of drive power. Honda’s stated fix is a free software reprogramming at an authorized dealer. Check your vehicle’s 17-character VIN to find out whether it has an open recall; the model year alone does not establish eligibility.
What the Accord Hybrid recall covers
Campaign 25V785 identifies certain 2023–2025 Honda Accord Hybrids. American Honda reported 256,603 potentially involved vehicles and estimated that 0.3% had the defect. Those figures describe the potentially involved population and the manufacturer’s defect estimate, not confirmed failures or the number of vehicles that have lost power.
Honda’s Part 573 report specifies a potential production range of November 11, 2022 through October 24, 2025. A vehicle’s model year or production date does not by itself confirm that it is included or that its repair remains open. The VIN lookup provides the vehicle-specific result.
Why Honda issued the recall
Honda says improper software programming may allow the ICM CPU to reset while the vehicle is operating. The reset can result in loss of drive power. NHTSA’s November 17, 2025 acknowledgment for 25V785 states: “A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash or injury.” The recall materials describe a potential safety defect; they do not establish that every affected vehicle will experience a reset.

How to check whether your vehicle is affected
- Find your Accord Hybrid’s 17-character VIN.
- Open Honda’s recall lookup and enter the VIN to see vehicle-specific open recalls.
- If the lookup shows campaign 25V785, contact an authorized Honda dealer to confirm status and arrange the repair.
Honda notes that a search by year and model can show recalls affecting only some vehicles. A VIN result is specific to that vehicle and its incomplete recalls. If you cannot use the lookup, Honda lists its recall line as (888) 234-2138, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.–5 p.m. Pacific Time.
What the repair involves
Honda’s stated remedy is for dealers to reprogram the ICM CPU software at no charge. This is a software recall, not an instruction to buy or replace a control module. Honda says authorized-dealer safety recall repairs are free. Ask the dealer to verify that the 25V785 repair has been completed for your VIN.

How this differs from the Accord Hybrid fuel-pump recall
Some Accord Hybrid model years also appear in a separate Honda campaign, 24V763. It concerns potentially cracked high-pressure fuel pumps and possible fuel leaks, not ICM software or loss of drive power.
| Campaign | Issue | Model-year scope stated in the materials | Remedy stated here |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25V785 | ICM software may reset while driving, potentially causing loss of drive power | Certain 2023–2025 Accord Hybrids | Free ICM CPU software reprogramming at a dealer |
| 24V763 | Potentially cracked high-pressure fuel pump and possible fuel leak | Certain 2023–2024 Accord Hybrids | Not stated in the cited materials for this comparison |
Because the year ranges overlap, check the VIN for all open campaigns rather than assuming a car is affected—or repaired—based on its year and model.

Recall notice dates
American Honda submitted its Part 573 report on November 13, 2025. NHTSA’s acknowledgment letter is dated November 17, 2025, and said owner letters were expected to be mailed January 5, 2026. That stated mailing expectation does not establish whether a particular owner received a notice. If you have not received a letter, use the VIN lookup rather than waiting for one.
