The Honda’s listed advantages include a larger fuel tank, lower kerb weight in Autocar India’s selected-variant comparison, and alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The Classic 350 offers several trims, so equipment such as dual-channel ABS, an assist-and-slipper clutch and USB-C charging depends on the version. Compare exact variants and current local on-road quotes, then test ride both.
At a glance: Honda CB350C vs Royal Enfield Classic 350
Autocar India’s comparison pairs the Honda CB350C Special Edition with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Classic Chrome. Its figures describe those selected variants, not every trim or market configuration.
| Specification | Honda CB350C Special Edition | Royal Enfield Classic 350 Classic Chrome |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | 348.36cc, air-cooled single | 349cc, air/oil-cooled single |
| Maximum power | 20.8 hp at 5,500 rpm (Autocar India comparison) | 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm (Autocar India comparison) |
| Maximum torque | 29.5 Nm at 3,000 rpm | 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm |
| Fuel tank capacity | 15.2 L | 13 L |
| Kerb weight | 186 kg | 195 kg |
| Wheels and tyres | Alloy wheels; tubeless tyres | Spoke wheels; tubed tyres |
Honda’s 26 September 2025 launch announcement independently specifies 15.5 kW at 5,500 rpm and 29.5 Nm at 3,000 rpm for the CB350C, with a five-speed gearbox. Power figures shown in different units and sourced from different pages should not be treated as a precise real-world performance comparison. The modest paper differences do not establish which motorcycle feels quicker or suits a particular ride better. Autocar India’s comparison and Honda’s launch release give the underlying specifications.
Which is lighter, and what does that mean?
In the selected-variant comparison, the CB350C is listed at 186 kg kerb weight and the Classic 350 Classic Chrome at 195 kg. That is a 9 kg difference between the compared versions, not a guarantee that every trim or model-year pairing has the same gap. A lower listed weight can matter when pushing or parking a motorcycle, but the figures alone cannot tell you how either bike will feel at low speed. Try both in the situations that matter to you.

Engine and mileage: what the figures do—and do not—show
The Honda has slightly higher listed peak torque, while the Classic 350 reaches its listed peak torque at a higher engine speed. Autocar India lists the Honda at 20.8 hp at 5,500 rpm and 29.5 Nm at 3,000 rpm, and the Classic 350 at 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Honda’s own launch release gives the CB350C output as 15.5 kW at 5,500 rpm and 29.5 Nm at 3,000 rpm. These are published specifications, not results from a matched road test, so they cannot settle questions about acceleration, refinement or highway ability.
Mileage figures are especially easy to misread. Autocar India’s comparison reports user-reported figures of 37.15 kmpl for the Honda and 35.03 kmpl for the Classic 350. Separately, Autocar India’s Classic 350 specification page lists its own test figures of 32.7 kmpl in the city and 36.8 kmpl on the highway. These come from different methods and are not a controlled head-to-head test; neither guarantees the mileage an individual owner will get. Riding conditions, traffic, load and riding style affect actual consumption. Autocar India’s Classic 350 specifications page identifies its test figures.

Features and trim: check the exact Classic 350 version
Honda CB350C Special Edition
Honda’s 26 September 2025 launch release describes the CB350C Special Edition as having a heritage-inspired digital-analogue instrument cluster with Honda Smartphone Voice Control, an assist-and-slipper clutch, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and dual-channel ABS. It identifies Rebel Red Metallic and Matt Dune Brown as colour options and says the engine is BSVI OBD2B and E20 compliant. Treat these as launch specifications; check a current dealer sheet for the model year and configuration being sold. Honda’s CB350C product page also lists Honda RoadSync for smartphone navigation, calls and music control, plus PGM-FI, a hazard switch and a side-stand engine inhibitor. Its variant specification widget did not provide detailed figures when reviewed.
Royal Enfield Classic 350
The Classic 350’s equipment varies by trim. Autocar India’s specification page, marked updated 24 September 2026, describes six variants: the Redditch base model has single-channel ABS and a standard wet multiplate clutch, while versions above it receive dual-channel ABS and an assist-and-slipper clutch. USB-C charging is limited to dual-channel ABS versions. Check current Royal Enfield availability and the specification sheet for the exact trim before comparing features.

Autocar India says the Tripper navigation pod is standard on higher-spec trims and can be retrofitted to other trims for around Rs. 5,050. That is a reported retrofit price, not a guaranteed current dealer quote; confirm compatibility with the motorcycle’s model year and variant as well as the installed price. Autocar India’s Classic 350 specifications page lists the trim details.
Does the Classic 350 have tubeless tyres?
In Autocar India’s comparison, the selected Classic 350 Classic Chrome has spoke wheels and tubed tyres; the compared Honda CB350C Special Edition has alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. This is a meaningful practical difference if you prioritise a tubeless setup, but do not assume one comparison applies to every variant or current model-year configuration. Confirm the wheels and tyres on the exact motorcycle you are considering. Ask a dealer about puncture-repair options for that setup rather than assuming the two systems are interchangeable.

Price: compare current local on-road quotes, not launch figures
Honda announced a launch price of Rs. 2,01,900 ex-showroom in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on 26 September 2025, with availability through BigWing dealerships planned from the first week of October 2025. That is a dated launch price, not a current 2026 price or an on-road total. Autocar India’s comparison displayed about Rs. 2.05 lakh for the CB350C Special Edition and Rs. 2.23 lakh for the Classic 350 Classic Chrome when accessed on 5 October 2026; the page is dynamic, and those displayed figures are not a city-specific quote.

Registration charges, insurance and other local fees affect the total. Ask Honda BigWing and Royal Enfield dealers for quotes for the same city and date, with the exact variant and a clear breakdown of insurance and registration. Which one should you shortlist?
- Shortlist the Honda CB350C Special Edition if the compared setup’s lower listed weight, larger tank, alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, or the Honda launch-listed equipment best fits your priorities. Confirm the current model-year specification and local price.
- Shortlist the Classic 350 if you prefer its particular trim or styling, but compare like-for-like equipment: Redditch has single-channel ABS and a standard clutch in Autocar India’s listed trim breakdown, while higher trims add dual-channel ABS and an assist-and-slipper clutch. Verify what is available locally.
- Let the dealer quote decide if your choice is close. Compare current on-road totals for the exact variants, not a historical launch price against a dynamic comparison-page figure.
- Let a test ride decide the riding question. The available specifications do not establish which motorcycle is more comfortable, easier in traffic, more refined or better on highways. Evaluate the seating position, controls and low-speed feel yourself.
