Yes—Honda built a real, rideable project machine inspired by Koraidon, the Legendary Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet. Honda developed it under The Pokémon Company’s supervision as a demonstration of mobility technology, not as a motorcycle announced for retail sale. Honda has shown it at public events, including a ride-on experience in 2025 and the Tokyo Motorcycle Show in 2026.
Is Honda’s Koraidon motorcycle real?
It is a real Honda-built mobility project shaped to resemble Koraidon’s Sprinting Build. Honda announced the project on February 27, 2025, describing it as “future mobility” and saying it was undertaken under the supervision of The Pokémon Company. Honda’s announcement called the goal a real-world recreation of Koraidon’s mobility, rather than a conventional production motorcycle. Honda’s project announcement

Honda says the team brought together interested employees from its Motorcycle and Power Products Operations and Innovative Research Excellence. Work began in August 2024, according to Honda’s project page.
What did Honda aim to make it do?
Honda’s stated target was a moving version of Koraidon’s Sprinting Build, with a size and weight approximating the character and a form that could stand on its own and move its limbs, head, and neck. Honda also included rideability among the project’s goals. These are Honda’s descriptions of the project’s aims, not independently verified specifications for the physical machine.

Honda’s February 2025 announcement lists Koraidon’s game-world height as 2.5 m (8 ft 2 in) and its game-world weight as 303.0 kg (668.0 lb). Those figures describe the Pokémon in the game information cited by Honda; they should not be read as measurements of the Honda-built machine.
How does the Koraidon machine move?
Honda says it applied motorcycle design philosophy and simulation technology, along with its self-balancing capability. Its February 2025 announcement connects the balancing work to Honda Riding Assist, a technology Honda says grew from self-balancing research associated with ASIMO. Honda’s project page describes the machine as evolving over time, rather than presenting a finished retail specification.
Honda framed the effort this way: “With the power of Honda’s technology, let’s try to recreate Koraidon’s mobility in real life!” The line is Honda’s project language, not a statement attributed to a named engineer.

Can you buy the Honda Koraidon motorcycle?
Honda’s reviewed project and event pages describe a project machine and public demonstrations; they do not establish a retail price, sales channel, ordering process, or commercial-production plan. That means there is no confirmed way to buy it based on those announcements. It does not establish that Honda will never sell a related machine.
What is Koraidon?
Koraidon is a Legendary Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet, the game Honda names as the character’s origin. Honda’s project draws on Koraidon’s Sprinting Build as its visual and mobility inspiration; the game-world height and weight are character details, not engineering specifications for the project machine.
