Official manufacturer materials do document four useful examples: Ducati’s radar-equipped Multistrada V4 and V4 Rally, Kawasaki’s Ninja H2 SX SE, and KTM’s 1290 Super Duke RR. They illustrate different approaches—rider assistance, long-distance equipment, a supercharged engine and race-derived chassis components—but the available information does not support an overall winner.
What “high-tech” means in these examples
Motorcycle technology is not a single score. The models below stand out for different reasons: radar-assisted rider functions, integrated electronic controls, touring features, engine design or specialized suspension and wheels. Manufacturer specifications and feature descriptions are not independent test results, and the cited materials do not compare the bikes under common conditions.

Ducati Multistrada V4: radar-assisted touring
Ducati’s launch announcement for the Multistrada V4 describes a 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine with manufacturer-claimed output of 170 hp and 125 Nm. It also describes integrated navigation and front and rear radar. Ducati says radar enables adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection; its later model insights page also lists Forward Collision Warning for the radar-equipped version. Feature availability depends on version, so these systems should not be assumed to appear on every 2023 Multistrada V4 configuration. Ducati’s launch announcement and model insights describe the features.
Ducati says it introduced radar to its motorcycles with the 2020 Multistrada V4, bringing adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection to the model. That historical claim does not establish that every 2023 trim or market had the same equipment. Ducati’s overview of its radar system provides that context.
#1 Best Overall
Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally: touring kit with a regional qualification
Ducati presented the V4 Rally as a long-distance touring model. Its January 25, 2023 announcement specifies that the North American Adventure Travel & Radar version included adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, aluminum side cases, heated grips and heated seats. Those equipment details apply to the named North American configuration; they should not be generalized to all V4 Rally versions or markets. See Ducati’s V4 Rally announcement.
Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE: supercharged engine and radar assistance
Kawasaki’s model page describes the Ninja H2 SX SE with a supercharged 998 cc inline-four and Bosch radar-based Advanced Rider Assistance Systems. The listed functions are adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and blind spot detection. Kawasaki also describes a six-degree-of-freedom IMU and coordinated electronic control systems. Together, these make it a distinct example of combining a high-output engine concept with rider-assistance electronics. Kawasaki’s current model page is not, by itself, confirmation that every listed specification or package was available on every 2023-market version.
Rank #2
KTM 1290 Super Duke RR (2023): specialized suspension and forged wheels
KTM’s 2023 media information highlights race-derived WP PRO COMPONENTS suspension, including a WP APEX PRO 7746 shock, and forged wheels. KTM lists 180 hp at 9,500 rpm, 140 Nm at 8,000 rpm, a weight of 180 kg and combined-cycle consumption of 5.4 L/100 km. These are manufacturer-stated figures, not independently measured results; the source’s stated conditions should be consulted before comparing them with figures for other motorcycles. See KTM’s 2023 technical information.
How the documented technologies differ
| Model | Documented technology or equipment | Powertrain or figures stated by the manufacturer | Scope and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ducati Multistrada V4 | Front and rear radar; adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection; Forward Collision Warning listed for the radar-equipped version; integrated navigation | 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo; 170 hp and 125 Nm claimed in Ducati’s launch announcement | Radar features vary by version; Ducati’s launch source dates to the 2020 introduction and does not establish identical 2023 equipment across trims. |
| Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally | For North American Adventure Travel & Radar version: adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, aluminum side cases, heated grips and heated seats | Not stated in the cited announcement | The equipment package is specifically identified for a North American version. |
| Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE | Bosch radar-based assistance; adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and blind spot detection; six-degree-of-freedom IMU and coordinated electronic controls | Supercharged 998 cc inline-four, as described on Kawasaki’s current model page | Current-page details are not independently confirmed here for every 2023 market configuration. |
| KTM 1290 Super Duke RR (2023) | Race-derived WP PRO COMPONENTS suspension, WP APEX PRO 7746 shock and forged wheels | KTM claims 180 hp at 9,500 rpm, 140 Nm at 8,000 rpm, 180 kg and 5.4 L/100 km combined-cycle consumption | Manufacturer figures, not independent measurements. |
What this comparison can—and cannot—tell you
The examples show how “high-tech” can refer to different priorities. Radar is the clearest shared theme between the Ducati and Kawasaki descriptions, while Ducati’s Rally announcement emphasizes touring equipment and KTM’s RR material focuses on suspension, wheels and manufacturer-stated performance figures. No common safety, performance or technology test is provided, and the evidence does not verify a complete ten-bike list or a defensible ranking of the most advanced motorcycles overall.

- Check the exact model year, market and trim before relying on a feature list.
- Treat manufacturer output, weight and consumption figures as claims from the stated source, not a cross-model test.
- Consider the technology that matches the intended use—rider assistance, touring equipment, engine character or chassis hardware—rather than treating “high-tech” as a guarantee of safety or a measure of overall superiority.
