The Ferrari Monza SP2 is the two-seat version of the roofless, windscreen-less Monza barchetta, part of Ferrari’s limited Icona series introduced in 2018. Ferrari quotes 810 cv and a 0–100 km/h time of 2.9 seconds; those are manufacturer figures, not independent test results. For price context, RM Sotheby’s recorded one SP2 sale at US$2,536,250 on 5 December 2025—a single auction result, not a current market-wide valuation.
What is the Ferrari Monza SP2?
Ferrari announced the Monza SP1 and SP2 in Maranello on 18 September 2018 as the first models in its Icona limited-edition series. The company says their design draws on 1950s barchettas, including the 1948 166 MM, 750 Monza and 860 Monza. Ferrari framed the Monza as a road car, but that description does not establish road legality in every jurisdiction. Ferrari’s launch material provides the historical context.
The SP1 has one seat. The SP2 makes room for a passenger by replacing the SP1’s tonneau-cover arrangement with a second protective screen and a roll bar. Ferrari described the SP1 specifically as “an uncompromising single-seat road car that offers a truly unique experience behind the wheel”; that launch statement refers to the SP1, not the SP2.
Ferrari Monza SP2 specs
The figures below are Ferrari-published specifications, not independently measured results. Ferrari’s technical sheet lists power with 98 RON petrol. Its fuel-consumption and CO₂ entries were still under homologation in that document, so they are not presented here as current certified figures. Ferrari’s official model material is the source for the specification overview.

Open-air design and the Virtual Wind Shield
The Monza has no roof or conventional windscreen. Ferrari says a patented “Virtual Wind Shield,” integrated into the fairing ahead of the instrument panel and steering wheel, is intended to address comfort in this barchetta layout. That is the manufacturer’s description of its aerodynamic solution, not evidence that it eliminates wind exposure at every speed. Ferrari also describes extensive use of carbon fibre in the cars’ construction.
The extra passenger cockpit is the main practical distinction between SP2 and SP1. For photo research, look for a verified two-seat cockpit and its additional protective screen to distinguish an SP2 from the visually related SP1. A useful set of images would show that passenger area, the open profile, the front fairing, cabin and rear. Ferrari’s launch material is the primary source for official imagery; label a photograph SP2 only when the pictured configuration can be verified.

Ferrari Monza SP2 price: one dated auction result
RM Sotheby’s records a 2022 Ferrari Monza SP2 sold for US$2,536,250 at its Abu Dhabi auction on 5 December 2025. The catalogued car had 812 kilometres and was accompanied by a Ferrari-branded helmet, battery charger and owner’s manuals. This is one transaction for one example—not an original list price, current asking price or representative value range. See RM Sotheby’s lot record.
RM Sotheby’s also states that 499 Monza examples were built across SP1 and SP2 configurations. That combined production figure is not an SP2-only count. The sources cited here do not establish Ferrari’s original SP2 list price or a current representative market range.
