A one-off 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 Tailor Made sold for $26 million at RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction in August 2025. The car, numbered 599+1, was added beyond the original 599-car allocation, and proceeds were designated for The Ferrari Foundation. That extraordinary charity result is not a standard value for production Daytona SP3s.
What sold for $26 million?
Ferrari announced the charity car on July 8, 2025, describing it as an exclusive Daytona SP3 Tailor Made to be auctioned during Monterey Car Week. Ferrari said it was an additional car beyond the model’s sold-out allocation of 599. RM Sotheby’s identifies the 2025 car as serial 599+1 and records its final sale price as $26,000,000 USD.

The one-off specification included exposed carbon fiber, Giallo Modena detailing, a full-length Ferrari logotype across the body, and cabin fabric made from recycled tire material. The lot record also lists the car’s official Ferrari window sticker, owner’s manual, warranty book, tool kit, battery conditioner, and cover kit. No. The $26 million figure is the recorded auction result for a specific, one-off Tailor Made charity car, not a typical resale price for a production-allocation SP3. A charity designation, unique specification, and bidding for an exceptional lot make it a poor stand-in for ordinary transactions.

RM Sotheby’s recorded a separate 2023 Daytona SP3 at $17,825,000 at its 2026 Monterey auction. That is a useful comparison, but it is a different car sold at a different time and in a different transaction. The two results alone do not establish a market range or prove that typical SP3 values rose, fell, or depreciated by a particular amount. RM Sotheby’s 2026 Monterey auction records provide the later result.
The available official records establish auction outcomes, not appraised retail values, private-sale prices, or a complete series of comparable non-charity SP3 sales. A dependable estimate for an individual car would require comparable transactions and attention to its specification, condition, mileage, sale date, and transaction context.

RM Sotheby’s described the 2025 SP3 as the most valuable new car ever sold at auction at the time. That record is now historical: the auction house reported in 2026 that the $40 million Ferrari Luce Tailor Made charity sale surpassed it. RM Sotheby’s 2026 Monterey release reports the later record.

Where were the charity proceeds going?
Ferrari said proceeds would benefit The Ferrari Foundation, which it describes as supporting educational programmes and community projects worldwide. RM Sotheby’s described the Foundation as a 501(c)(3) public charity and said proceeds would support future educational initiatives. The cited sale records do not quantify the final allocation or outcomes attributable to this particular auction.

What do the broader 2025 auction figures say?
RM Sotheby’s reported that its 2025 Monterey auction generated more than $165 million in total sales, had an 87% sell-through rate, drew bidders from 46 countries, and set 14 world records.
