Porsche rates it at a 194 mph top track speed and 3.7 seconds to 60 mph, and it is manual-only. A true top ten, however, needs one consistent speed measure and confirmed current ordering for ten separate models. The published figures for the wider field do not yet support that, so this guide covers the manual performance cars whose numbers can be checked model by model, explains how to read each claim, and lists the other manual models worth verifying.
Three different things called “fastest”
Manufacturers, magazines and enthusiasts use “fastest” to mean three different measurements. They answer different questions, so a car that wins one can lose another.
- Top track speed. The maximum speed a manufacturer reports, usually on a racetrack or under controlled conditions. It says nothing about how quickly the car gets there.
- 0–60 mph. An acceleration figure. It may be a manufacturer rating or an independent instrumented test, and the two should never be mixed in one ranking without labels.
- Quarter-mile or instrumented test results. Measured by a publication on a specific car, on a specific date, under test conditions. They describe that test car, not every car sold under the same name.
Four manual cars with checkable figures
The table below lists the manual performance cars with model-year-specific figures and the type of claim behind each number. The rows are not a ranking, because the measures do not line up.
| Model (model year) | Output | Manual setup | 0–60 mph | Top speed or other figure | Type of claim and source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Porsche 911 GT3 S/C (2027, announced) | 502 hp, 331 lb-ft, naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six | Six-speed GT Sport manual, sole transmission | 3.7 seconds | 194 mph top track speed | Manufacturer figures, Porsche 2026 announcement |
| Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing (2026) | 472 hp, 445 lb-ft, 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 | Six-speed manual; automatic also offered | 3.9 seconds | “> 189 MPH” on the racetrack, per Cadillac’s page | Manufacturer figures, Cadillac specifications |
| Porsche 911 Carrera T (2025) | 388 hp, 331 lb-ft | Six-speed manual, sole transmission | Coupe 4.3 seconds; Cabriolet 4.5 seconds | Coupe 183 mph; Cabriolet 182 mph top track speed | Manufacturer figures, Porsche 2024 release for model year 2025 |
| BMW M2 manual (2025 car tested) | 473 hp base; 406 lb-ft with the manual | Manual version | 3.9 seconds (independent test) | Quarter-mile 12.1 seconds at 120 mph; top speed not stated | Independent instrumented test, Car and Driver |
Porsche 911 GT3 S/C
This is the clearest high-speed manual on the list. Porsche calls it a driver’s car in its own words: “In line with its positioning as a driver’s car, it is only available with the short-ratio and lightweight six-speed GT Sport manual transmission.” Porsche also states that the car is not a limited-production model. Frank Moser, Vice President 911 and 718 model line at Porsche, said the car “responds to our customers’ desire for sports cars that are particularly fun to drive.” Because it was announced for model year 2027, check local availability and order timing before assuming a dealer can deliver one.

Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing
The CT4-V Blackwing is the only car in this group where the manual is not the sole choice. Cadillac lists the six-speed manual alongside an available automatic, so the manual has to be selected deliberately when you configure or search for one. Cadillac’s racetrack speed is a qualified statement, “> 189 MPH,” and should be quoted that way, not as a universal top speed the car is guaranteed to reach.
Porsche 911 Carrera T
The Carrera T is the most accessible of the four, with a less extreme output and a well-documented split between the coupe and Cabriolet. Those two body styles carry different figures, so quote the one that matches the car you are considering. The source for these figures is a 2024 release for model year 2025. Confirm that the Carrera T is still offered for the model year you plan to buy.
Rank #2
- V8 POWER: The model features a 400 cubic inch V8 engine, reflecting the muscle and power that defined the GTO's reputation.
- DETAILED SUSPENSION & EXHAUST: The kit incorporates separate rear suspension and exhaust detailing, adding to the realism of the model.
- BUCKET SEATS & CONSOLE: The model's interior features bucket seats and a floor shifter with a console, capturing the iconic look and feel of the GTO.
- OPTIONAL SUPERCHARGER: For those seeking more power, the kit offers an optional supercharger, allowing you to customize your model.
- CLEAR & COMPREHENSIVE INSTRUCTIONS: The included instructions are clear and user-friendly, making the kit accessible to modelers of different skill levels, from beginners to experienced hobbyists.
BMW M2 manual
The M2 manual has the only independent acceleration result in this group. Car and Driver tested a 2025 manual M2 and recorded 3.9 seconds to 60 mph and a 12.1-second quarter mile at 120 mph. That is a test of one 2025 car, not a 2026 specification, and it should not be applied to the automatic. The higher-output M2 CS, rated at 523 hp, is automatic-only according to the same publication, so it cannot be used as a manual example.
Other manual models to check, not yet ranked
Autoblog’s 2026 roundup of manual-transmission cars names more candidates than this guide can verify. Each needs its own primary-source specifications and current availability before it can be placed in a ranked list.

- Honda Civic Type R, Hyundai Elantra N, Lotus Emira V6 and Nissan Z: named as manual offerings; confirm each car’s current availability in your market.
- Other Porsche models with a manual option, as listed in the roundup.
How to confirm a manual car is buyable today
- Choose the model year first. Check whether the car is on sale now or announced for a later model year, since an announcement does not mean dealer stock.
- Open the manufacturer’s build tool and select the manual transmission. For the GT3 S/C and Carrera T the manual is the only option; for the CT4-V Blackwing you must choose it over the automatic.
- Search dealer inventory with a manual-transmission filter, then compare the trim against the specifications you are reading.
- Match the body style and trim to the figures you quote. Carrera coupe and Cabriolet differ, and the M2 CS is automatic-only.
- Check the date on each specification sheet. Manufacturer figures change between model years.
Caveats that change the order
- Claim type matters. Porsche and Cadillac figures are manufacturer claims. The M2 acceleration number is an independent test of a single car. Do not place them in one list as if they came from the same kind of measurement.
- Model years differ. The GT3 S/C is an announced 2027 car, the CT4-V Blackwing figures are for 2026, the Carrera T figures are for 2025, and the M2 test is from a 2025 car.
- Track speeds are conditional. A manufacturer’s top track speed describes a maximum under test conditions, not everyday performance.
Which manual car is fastest?
On manufacturer top speed, the Porsche 911 GT3 S/C leads among the cars covered here at 194 mph. On a 0–60 mph claim, the GT3 S/C is also the quickest at 3.7 seconds. The CT4-V Blackwing and Carrera T follow with different strengths and different transmission and body-style conditions, and the M2 is the only car with an independent acceleration test. A ten-car ranking would need the same measure, the same claim type and current availability for every model, and that is not yet available for the full field.
