#1 Best Overall
- 👍 Using just this one device, you can both watch Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, HBO Max and various other streaming services in maximum quality (up to 4K Dolby Vision and Atmos), and play local library of media files in the most advanced formats (up to ISO 4K Dolby Vision FEL and full disc menu) - via the advanced Dune HD media center software
- 🚀 The official Netflix, Google and other certifications ensure excellent support for Netflix and other streaming services (such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, HBO Max and many others) with best possible audio and video quality (up to 4K Dolby Vision and Atmos). The modern Android TV 11 OS version with the official Google Android TV certification ensures excellent compatibility with all Android TV applications and features, and also gives a very powerful "Chromecast built-in"
- 😍 In addition to all standard Android TV features, you can also use Dune HD media center software (You need to install it from the Dune HD com support site by selecting BOXY media player from the list.). This software provides functionality similar to standalone Dune HD media players and includes a lot of features such as: advanced file browser, advanced file player, full menu support for movie ISO files and disc structures, advanced support for playback of Dolby Vision files, ability to view the local library of video files as a nice-looking Netflix-like catalog, Dune Control mobile app
- 🛸 This media player includes a lot of newest technologies: AV1 video codec, VP9 profile 2 video codec, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, Dolby MAT
- 📡 BOXY media player offers a wide range of connectivity options. In addition to the usual HDMI, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interfaces, this media player has an Ethernet port, two USB ports (USB 3.0 and USB 2.0), a micro SD card slot, an S/PDIF output port, and an A/V port
How U.S. viewers watched the race
Existing cable or pay-TV subscribers
The simplest option was ESPN2 through an existing TV package. Viewers could also try the ESPN streaming hub, typically using an eligible TV-provider login or qualifying ESPN access.
Practice and qualifying were not assigned to the same channel as the race: Practice 1 was listed on ESPNU, while Practice 2, Practice 3, and qualifying were listed on ESPNEWS. A package carrying ESPN2 therefore did not necessarily include the entire weekend.
Cord-cutters
A live-TV streaming service carrying the assigned ESPN network was the practical cable-free alternative. Fubo was documented as an option during the 2025 event and promoted a trial for eligible new subscribers at the time.
Trial terms, channel lineups, pricing, payment requirements, and automatic renewal change. A trial was not permanent free access: viewers needed to confirm eligibility, check that the plan included ESPN2—and ESPNU and ESPNEWS if they wanted the full weekend—and cancel before renewal if they did not want to continue.
Why “ESPN+” was not a complete answer
Some 2025 listings linked to ESPN+ while separately placing the race on ESPN2. The important question was not simply whether a service displayed the ESPN name, but whether the viewer’s account and location provided the correct ESPN network stream. Access to one ESPN product did not automatically guarantee every ESPN-family channel.
F1 TV Pro and Premium
Formula 1 promoted F1 TV as a more F1-focused option in countries where the relevant plan and live rights were available. F1 TV Pro was described for the 2025 season as offering live coverage of every session, onboard cameras for all 20 drivers, pre- and post-race programming, ad-free viewing, and commentary in six languages.
Formula 1 also promoted F1 TV Premium features including 4K Ultra HD/HDR and Multiview on supported devices. Reported device support included Apple TV, Chromecast Generation 2 and later, Android TV, Google TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku. These features, plan names, device requirements, and availability are not universal or permanent; check the F1 TV support and regional availability information before subscribing.

F1 TV was not a guaranteed substitute for ESPN in every country. Broadcast rights can limit or remove live race access, and a VPN should not be treated as a guaranteed or authorized workaround for regional restrictions.

Mexico
In Mexico, Formula 1 announced coverage through Televisa and Sky Sports. Televisa provided free-to-air coverage of the Mexico City Grand Prix, while Sky Sports coverage was available through Sky and Izzi. F1 TV was another possibility where the applicable plan and regional rights allowed it.
Free-to-air coverage applied to the Grand Prix, not automatically to every practice and qualifying session. For broader weekend coverage, viewers needed to check Sky, Izzi, Sky+, or current F1 TV availability. See the Formula 1 broadcast-partnership announcement and TelevisaUnivision’s Mexico announcement.
Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries
U.S. ESPN information did not apply globally. Canadian, U.K., and other international viewers needed to use Formula 1’s regional broadcaster listings or check F1 TV for their country. Plan availability and live rights vary by location, so do not assume that F1 TV Pro or Premium works the same way everywhere.
Why did some listings show 9 p.m. ET?
One ESPN page displayed the Grand Prix at 9 p.m. ET, but that conflicts with the published 2 p.m. Mexico City start and the widely reported 4 p.m. ET U.S. start. The 9 p.m. entry appears to be an inconsistent listing rather than the actual scheduled race time. For the 2025 event, viewers should have relied on the 4 p.m. ET start and confirmed the event tile or network schedule in their streaming app.
What to do when a stream does not appear
- ESPN2 is missing: Check the exact channel package; ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPNEWS may be treated separately.
- The app shows no event: Sign in again, verify the account’s location and plan, and search the ESPN network or event tile rather than relying only on a general “F1” search.
- Authentication fails: Confirm that the TV provider participates and that the login is the provider credential requested by ESPN.
- F1 TV is unavailable: Check the country-specific F1 TV support page. Do not assume a plan offered in another market is available locally.
- A mobile stream works but the TV does not: Check supported-device requirements, update the app, and verify that the television platform is supported for the selected plan.
- A trial has ended: Review the account’s renewal status and channel package; a canceled or expired trial will not provide continuing access.
- A time looks wrong: Compare the listing with the date, time zone, and official broadcaster schedule. Do not rely on an isolated 9 p.m. ET listing.
Can you still watch the 2025 race?
The live 2025 event has ended. Replay rights and archive availability can change, so no single service should be assumed to retain the full race indefinitely. Start with the official Formula 1 video and race pages, then check ESPN’s archive or replay library and any DVR or replay access included with the service originally used. Official highlights may remain available even when a complete race replay does not.
