What DigniFi does
DigniFi connects a customer’s eligible purchase at a participating dealership or service center with a financing application. Its automotive offerings include financing for service and repairs, prepaid maintenance, parts and accessories, collision repairs and deductibles, warranties, and other vehicle-related purchases. DigniFi is the financing platform, not the mechanic or parts provider. Its current disclosures identify WebBank as the issuer of its credit products.

DigniFi says its online application requests basic identity, address, employment, and income information and takes less than five minutes to complete. That is the company’s description of the application process, not a guarantee of approval or an independently measured completion time. Availability depends on participating merchants.

The figures describe distinct arrangements. The $14 million was the Series A equity round; the separate agreement provided for Neuberger Berman to purchase up to $275 million of assets. The latter should not be added to the Series A as if it were equity raised.

In the 2020 announcement, DigniFi said it had a network of 5,000 auto service centers and had added 500 locations in the preceding 90 days. Those are company-reported counts from June 2020, not current network figures.
What financing may cost a customer
DigniFi’s automotive page, accessed October 4, 2026, displays program-specific rates and fees. They are current disclosures, not terms that can be assumed for the 2020 funding announcement or for every applicant.

How later developments differ from the 2020 round
2024: additional lender facilities
In May 2024, DigniFi announced up to a $150 million credit facility from Encina Lender Finance and $25 million in debt financing from Brigade Capital Management. The company described the capital as supporting expansion of auto repair financing and said customer financing options are funded by WebBank. These were later debt and credit arrangements, not components of the 2020 Series A or Neuberger Berman asset-purchase agreement.

2026: Nissan and INFINITI dealer access
In September 2026, DigniFi announced that Nissan and INFINITI dealers could access its mobile-first financing for service, maintenance, repairs, parts, accessories, and eligible protection products. The company described the process as available through participating dealers and integrated into dealer workflows; the announcement does not establish availability at every dealership. DigniFi also reported more than $567 million in incremental transactions facilitated to date. That is a company-reported figure in the announcement, not an independently verified or audited measure.

DigniFi’s June 2020 release cited AAA figures saying 64% of Americans could not pay for an unexpected car repair without taking on debt — AAA, as cited by DigniFi, 2020; average unexpected car repair cost of $500–$600 — AAA, as cited by DigniFi, 2020. The release described the survey as pre-COVID. These are historical figures as attributed in that announcement, not current estimates independently verified here.

In the same release, then-CEO Richard Counihan said: “After months of financial uncertainty, Americans are eager to get back to work, and many will need their cars in working order to do that.” Neuberger Berman Managing Director Zhengyuan Lu said the agreement offered an opportunity for investors. Those comments explain the companies’ stated rationale at the time; they are not evidence of consumer outcomes.
