On paper, yes: September 2026 reports put dealer cash on the 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S 680 at $70,000—$5,850 more than the 2026 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan’s $64,150 starting MSRP. But that is a comparison of a reported dealer incentive with a vehicle’s base price, not a guaranteed $70,000 rebate or a promise that a dealer will sell you a C 43 for its starting MSRP. The offer’s status after September and how much a dealer would pass on remain unverified, so confirm both locally before treating it as a current deal.
How the Maybach and AMG numbers compare
CarsDirect reported that dealer cash on the 2026 Maybach S 680 rose from $35,000 to $70,000 on September 1, 2026. Mercedes-Benz USA lists the 2026 AMG C 43 Sedan at $64,150 MSRP. Subtracting the C 43’s starting MSRP from the reported incentive leaves $5,850.

The comparison does not show that a buyer can receive the full incentive, nor that a C 43 is available locally at base MSRP. It compares dealer-directed support on one specific Maybach trim with the listed starting price of a separate Mercedes-AMG model.
Why “$70,000 off” is not an automatic discount
CarsDirect described the S 680 support as dealer cash paid to the dealer, rather than a consumer rebate automatically deducted from the buyer’s price. Carscoops reported that a dealer could keep the money or pass some or all of it to a customer; Cars.com’s earlier explanation also noted that the amount shared can vary. A large advertised incentive therefore does not establish the selling price on a particular vehicle.

The September coverage also identified a separate $45,000 incentive for the 2026 Maybach S 580. That is a different trim and amount; the $70,000 figure applies to the S 680 in the cited reporting.
Is the incentive still available?
The $70,000 figure comes from September reporting, not a verified October offer. CarsDirect reported the increase on September 1, and Carscoops reported the same amount on September 17. Their reports cited 34 S 680s in national inventory data, a dated count rather than a live inventory total.

Mercedes-Benz USA’s special-offers page, accessed October 5, 2026, displayed other offers but did not confirm that this Maybach dealer-cash program continued. Its listed offers included participating-dealer, vehicle-availability, qualification, and dealer-price terms. The page’s other offer deadlines do not establish the Maybach incentive’s status.
Before relying on the figure, ask a participating dealer to confirm the current manufacturer program, whether your buyer circumstances qualify, and whether the specific 2026 S 680 VIN is eligible. Request the dealer’s written selling price and the amount of dealer cash, if any, being passed through. The advertised amount alone cannot establish your out-the-door cost.

What the comparison leaves out: the 2027 refresh
The reported incentive concerns the 2026 S 680, while Mercedes-Benz’s 2027 Maybach quick reference lists starting MSRPs of $210,200 for the S 580 and $247,450 for the S 680. Those are different model years, and a 2027 MSRP is not directly comparable to a dealer incentive on a 2026 vehicle.
Carscoops reported that the 2027 facelift brings updated exterior lighting, MB.OS, newer rear-seat features, active suspension, and a new flat-plane-crank V8 for the S 580. Exact equipment and availability should be checked against the official build sheet for the specific model year and vehicle. The 2027 quick reference lists the S 580 with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 mild hybrid, 530 hp, and an estimated 3.9-second 0–60 mph time; it lists the S 680 with a handcrafted 6.0-liter V12 biturbo, 621 hp, and an estimated 4.3-second 0–60 mph time. These are manufacturer figures for 2027 models, not independent test results or specifications to assume for a 2026 car.

What the AMG C 43 costs—and what its specs mean
The $64,150 figure is the 2026 C 43’s starting MSRP from Mercedes-Benz USA, not a quote for a specific car or its final transaction price. The manufacturer’s model page lists 416 hp, 369 lb-ft, a 2.0-liter handcrafted AMG inline-four with hybrid assist and an electric exhaust-gas turbocharger, and a 0–60 mph time of 4.3 seconds. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

How to evaluate a real offer
- Confirm the program and vehicle. Ask whether the dealer currently has a qualifying 2026 Maybach S 680 and whether its VIN is covered by the manufacturer’s dealer-cash program.
- Ask what reaches you. Have the dealer state in writing how much of the incentive, if any, is reflected in your selling price. Do not treat the reported $70,000 as money automatically paid to you.
- Compare final prices. Request written, itemized figures for the Maybach and the C 43, including options, dealer charges, taxes, and fees. The $5,850 comparison is before these costs.
- Decide whether the model-year change matters. Compare the actual 2026 equipment with the 2027 vehicle you could buy, then weigh the written price difference against the newer model’s reported updates.
