What is the Kia Ray camper conversion?
A search-result aggregator describes a Daon Ray conversion with a pop-top, two beds, a kitchen, storage, heating and electricity. Those features would turn the compact Kia into something closer to a small camper than a car with a mattress, but the original article and a current primary listing for this specific build are not available to verify its configuration. Treat the description as reported, not as a confirmed specification.
There is also no documented comparison showing that the Daon Ray is the world’s smallest camper van. “Tiniest” works as a description of the idea; it is not an established record.
Can you sleep in a Kia Ray?
Kia’s September 2026 brochure says the Ray has fully folding seats and a sliding door that opens up one side of the vehicle. It also lists an air mat as an exclusive Kia Shop product. These details support the practicality of car camping, but they do not confirm that the reported Daon conversion includes Kia’s air mat or that the accessory fits every Ray year and trim.

How small is the Kia Ray?
Kia Korea’s current 2027 Ray specification page lists a length of 3,595 mm, width of 1,595 mm, height of 1,700 mm and wheelbase of 2,520 mm. Those are the vehicle’s exterior dimensions, not measurements of usable sleeping space; they cannot establish how many people can sleep inside or how much room a conversion provides.

That is the price of the specified base vehicle, not the Daon camper conversion.
