Which ones you can buy as new vehicles—and whether a listing is for model year 2026 or 2027—depends on current Chevrolet listings and local dealer inventory.

Trax and Trailblazer: the small-SUV choices
Both are in Chevrolet’s small SUV group. Start by checking whether the Trax’s footprint suits your parking and cargo needs, then compare it directly with Trailblazer’s trims and configurations. Chevrolet’s 2026 Trailblazer page lists LS, LT, ACTIV and RS; LS is described with an 11-inch color touch-screen and an 8-inch driver information display. Equipment varies by trim, so review the specific configuration rather than assuming a feature applies across the model.

Equinox and Blazer: five-seat alternatives
Chevrolet places Equinox and Blazer in its compact/midsize group, and both are five-seat choices. Blazer is the larger-powertrain alternative to Trailblazer in Chevrolet’s comparison, but the useful decision is whether its specific size, powertrain and equipment suit you better than Equinox. Check the model-year label and current specifications on each live model page.
Traverse: a larger SUV with a third row
Chevrolet lists Traverse with seating for up to eight. It is the lineup’s option to examine when you need a third row but do not want to begin with the full-size Tahoe or Suburban. Compare cargo space with the third row in use against your passenger and luggage needs.

Compare the relevant cargo measurement and seating arrangement on the current model pages; maximum cargo capacity alone does not describe the space available with every seat occupied.

Chevrolet’s comparison page lists these estimates for the standard front-wheel-drive powertrains on the 2026 Blazer and Trailblazer. They are manufacturer-listed estimates, not real-world test results.

Seating and cargo
Match seating capacity to how you actually travel. A maximum seating figure does not guarantee that a particular trim has that layout. For cargo, compare Chevrolet’s model-specific figures using the same measurement and seat configuration; a two-row maximum and a three-row maximum may describe different conditions.

Calendar year 2026 is not the same as vehicle model year. Chevrolet’s listings are transitioning to 2027 model years for some vehicles while other pages remain marked 2026. Confirm the model-year label on the live model page and the dealer’s actual inventory before relying on a specification or assuming a particular model year is available.
