Its published specification includes a 675cc triple, 70 kW (94 hp), adjustable KYB suspension, a quickshifter, traction control and dual-channel ABS—enough to make it a serious middleweight contender on paper. What the specifications do not establish is how it compares in independent acceleration, lap-time, reliability or value testing.
What makes the 675SR-R a potential rival?
The 675SR-R is a fully faired middleweight sportbike built around a liquid-cooled, inline three-cylinder engine. CFMOTO’s Australian product page lists 70 kW (94 hp) at 11,000 rpm and 70 Nm at 8,250 rpm, alongside equipment that reaches beyond the engine: adjustable suspension, a quickshifter, two-level traction control and dual-channel ABS. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. CFMOTO Australia’s 675SR-R specifications provide the clearest basis for assessing the bike’s stated package.
The power figures need a date and market attached. CFMOTO Global’s 2024 EICMA announcement gave earlier figures of 66 kW and 68 Nm, while later regional product pages, including Australia’s, list 70 kW and 70 Nm. These should be understood as differing launch and regional specifications, not blended into a single universal rating. CFMOTO Global’s 2024 announcement records the earlier figures.
How does its published specification stack up?
CFMOTO Australia names three bikes as rivals: the Yamaha YZF-R7HO, Honda CBR650R and Triumph Daytona 660. The comparison below is deliberately about positioning and published equipment; the available sources do not provide matched, same-year specifications for all four bikes.

The 2026 Italian Motorcycle Federation eligibility list also includes the CFMOTO alongside the Aprilia RS 660, Kawasaki ZX-6R and Suzuki GSX-8R. That is useful context for the broader middleweight field, but an eligibility list is not proof that each motorcycle is a direct street-market equivalent. The federation’s 2026 eligibility list describes that specific context.
What does CFMOTO list for equipment and dimensions?
On the Australian specification page, the 675SR-R pairs a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and quickshifter. Its front brakes use J.Juan radial calipers and dual 300 mm discs; the listed electronics include dual-channel ABS and two-level Bosch traction control. A five-inch TFT provides the instrument display. CFMOTO China’s material also lists a five-inch TFT and connected features, but equipment statements should remain tied to their respective markets rather than presumed identical worldwide. Australia’s specification page and CFMOTO China’s product page are regional references.

Australia lists adjustable KYB suspension, an 810 mm seat height, 1,400 mm wheelbase, 188 kg weight and a 15 L tank. The stated weight is not uniform across regions: CFMOTO Latvia, for example, lists 189 kg. For tires, Australia specifies 120/70 R17 at the front and 180/55 R17 at the rear. Size alone is not a complete replacement specification; confirm load index, speed rating, construction and exact model-year fitment before buying. The Latvia product listing illustrates the regional weight difference.
What performance claims are verified?
CFMOTO Global’s 2025 announcement claims 0–100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 220 km/h. These are manufacturer-reported figures, not independent measurements. CFMOTO also describes the motorcycle as suitable for street and track use; that positioning does not establish real-world comfort, handling, or track performance. The global performance announcement is the source for those claims.

No cited source here supplies a controlled head-to-head road or track test, independent dyno comparison, or long-term owner-durability evidence. A meaningful buying comparison should use the same model year and market for each bike, distinguish manufacturer peak ratings from measured results, and assess ergonomics and handling through actual riding evidence rather than inferring them from a specification sheet.
What do price, warranty and availability look like by market?
Published prices are local and not directly interchangeable. CFMOTO Ireland lists €8,799 RRP including VAT and VRT, while CFMOTO China lists ¥39,580. CFMOTO Australia announced an $11,790 AUD ride-away price and dealership arrival from May 2025; that is a dated launch announcement, not a current quote. Ireland’s listing, China’s listing and Australia’s launch announcement each apply to their own market and terms.

Australia’s material describes a nominal three-year factory warranty, with a possible additional year subject to stated authorized-dealer servicing and history conditions. Warranty terms are market-specific; verify the current written terms with the local CFMOTO importer or dealer before treating them as part of the bike’s value. Price comparisons should also account for local taxes and on-road charges, dealer coverage, servicing and parts availability, and consumable costs.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to decide whether it is the right rival for you
- Compare like with like: line up the same model year and country, then compare claimed power and torque with their rpm points, equipment, and local on-road prices.
- Separate claims from evidence: manufacturer specifications describe what CFMOTO lists; independent road or track testing is needed to judge acceleration, braking, handling and comfort against rivals.
- Match the intended use: assess your own riding position and street-versus-track needs in person. The published specification does not settle comfort or ride quality.
- Check ownership locally: confirm warranty conditions, dealer and parts support, service costs, and current stock in your market.
On published equipment and claimed output, the 675SR-R has a credible case in the middleweight sportbike conversation. Whether it beats a particular rival for an individual buyer remains a question for matched local pricing and independent comparative riding evidence.
