The Carlex G-Falcon is not a factory Mercedes-AMG special edition. It is a one-of-one Carlex conversion built on a Mercedes-AMG G 63, with a hand-engraved falcon relief on its roof, patinated leather throughout the cabin, bespoke metalwork, carbon-fiber body components, and 24-inch forged wheels. Carlex says the project took more than four years and was sold to a collector in 2024.
That distinction matters. The G-Falcon is less an attempt to improve the G 63’s lap times than an exercise in turning a familiar high-performance SUV into a singular collector automobile.

A Mercedes-AMG G 63 used as a canvas
The G-Falcon begins with the instantly recognizable shape and mechanical identity of the Mercedes-AMG G 63. Carlex then treats the SUV as a platform for traditional craft rather than merely a recipient of a more aggressive body kit.

- Most Realistic Paint-Replacement: VViViD Vinyls presents the newest evolution in vinyl wrap technology. Our Ultra Gloss range is the result of years of research and development, culminating in an almost mirror-like Gloss that is virtually indistinguishable from a factory paint job.
- Premium Features: To achieve the Ultra Gloss look, VViViD re-designed every aspect of car-wrap vinyl from the ground up. The result is a range of films packed with new technologies to create a stunningly beautiful finish. Conventional vinyl wraps can look good, but Ultra Gloss takes it to the next level.
- Nano Air-Release Technology: Air-release channels built into vinyl adhesive can sometimes create irregularities in the surface, making for a less glossy finish. VViViD’s Ultra Gloss films are the only vinyls that utilize a micro air-release pattern so finely engineered that the result is an almost glass-like finish.
- Stretchable Protective Cap: Unlike other vinyls, VViViD’s Ultra Gloss comes with a protective film that stretches with the vinyl, so you don’t have to remove that protective layer until the installation is complete, reducing the risk of scratches and scuffs.
- VViViD Ultra Gloss vinyls are ready to use right out of the box, no liquids or messy, toxic chemicals needed. For the car enthusiast who demands next-level refinement, with beautiful colors and textures, look no further.
It should therefore be described as an aftermarket or bespoke Carlex creation—not as a Mercedes-Benz factory edition. Carlex says the finished G-Falcon was sold to a collector in 2024. There is no verified public information in the available material about the buyer, sale price, registration country, current location, mileage, or resale status.
The roof is the G-Falcon’s defining feature
The name is explained by the vehicle’s most dramatic detail: a sculpted falcon relief mounted on the roof.
Carlex says the relief was developed from sketches by designer Konrad Łabędź, who first drew the concept on paper. The finished roof combines polished metal, intricate decorative patterns, and subtle gold touches. It is not simply a graphic applied to the roof; it is a piece of crafted metalwork intended to function as the vehicle’s visual signature.

Carlex credits several people with the work, including CEO and artisan craftsman Damian Skotnicki, artisan engraver Anna Szydelska, and metal-patination artisan Robert Wolny. Their involvement helps explain why the G-Falcon feels closer to a commissioned sculpture than to a conventional tuning package.
The falcon also gives the project a coherent theme. Carlex has spoken about drawing inspiration from nature and about creating collector vehicles with intimate value for their owners. It is reasonable to read the bird motif as an expression of that design philosophy, although the available material does not document a specific explanation from the eventual owner.
Four years of metal, leather, and surface treatment
Carlex says the project required more than four years to complete. That timeline is significant because the G-Falcon’s character comes from the interaction of many small treatments rather than from one isolated modification.
Patinated leather inside
Patinated leather is one of the central interior features. Instead of presenting the cabin as a uniform field of freshly finished upholstery, Carlex uses a treatment intended to give the leather a worn, developed, artisanal appearance.

- High Quality - Automotive grade premium high quality vinyl designed for wrapping vehicles and many other uses.
- Air Channels - Built-in air channels on the adhesive side for bubble-free installation.
- Ease of Installation - Repositionable during installation. Conforms well to most contours andshapes. Grid pattern on paper backing allows precise measuring and cutting.
- Useful Life - 10 year indoor life, 5 year outdoor
- Will not harm painted surfaces - Does not leave adhesive residue behind when removed.
The company describes its leather patination as a process that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing. Flowing-line motifs continue throughout the interior, with some components cast in precious metals and others hand-relieved. The result is an interior designed to feel made rather than assembled.
That approach is particularly appropriate for a one-of-one vehicle. A conventional luxury option list offers different colors, trims, and materials; the G-Falcon goes further by making the treatment itself part of the object’s identity.
Carbon fiber and engraved exterior details
The exterior combines handcrafted metalwork with a carbon-fiber body kit. Contemporary reporting described the kit as including the front and rear bumpers, front grille, wheel arches, door sills, and hook cap.
That reporting also stated that the non-engraved bodywork received a coating containing one kilogram of diamond dust before being hand-brushed in an amber color. This detail comes from secondary coverage rather than the current official Carlex model description, so it should be treated as an attributed construction detail—not as independently verified evidence of a particular monetary value or durability benefit.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsCarlex’s official material confirms subtle gold touches, but it does not establish the amount, purity, or value of the gold used. The G-Falcon is lavish because of the overall craftsmanship and singular execution; the presence of gold alone does not provide a defensible valuation.
The 24-inch wheels complete the design
Carlex designed a set of 24-inch forged wheels specifically for the project. They use the same brushed paint finish as the bodywork and carry the Carlex Design emblem.
Carlex also highlights a center-cap detail: the emblem remains visually still while the wheel rotates. It is a small feature, but it illustrates the philosophy behind the build. The wheels are not presented as generic aftermarket hardware added for size; they are integrated into the G-Falcon’s broader design language.

- Stain Resistance: This Matte Finish is designed to resist stains, helping to keep your vinyl clean and free from smudges. No more worrying about fingerprints during installation!
- Nano Air-Release: Standard air-release channels can sometimes cause slight surface imperfections, but Ultra Matte’s precision-engineered Nano Air-Release technology ensures a smoother, more flawless finish.
- The film stretches and conforms to any shape while being thick enough to minimize discoloration, stretch marks, and other visible defects both during wrapping and everyday driving.
- Application: Dry. Adhesive : Solvent-based, repositionable, permanent adhesive. Life: This vinyl is expected to easily last 5-7 years outdoors.
The enormous diameter contributes to the vehicle’s imposing stance, although the available sources do not document an independent handling test or a performance advantage over the standard AMG wheel and tire specification.
What remains underneath: the AMG G 63’s formidable hardware
For all the attention paid to engraving and upholstery, the G-Falcon retains the imposing mechanical foundation of the AMG G 63. Mercedes-AMG lists the current platform with a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine producing 430 kW, or 585 hp, and 850 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission.
Mercedes-AMG quotes a 0-to-100-km/h time of 4.4 seconds for the model shown on its current specification page. Mercedes-Benz USA lists model-year-specific U.S. figures of 577 hp, 627 lb-ft, and 4.2 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. Those figures are useful for understanding the current G 63 platform, but they should not be presented as the exact specifications of the 2023 donor vehicle without a vehicle-specific build sheet.
The standard AMG G 63’s mechanical identity also includes AMG RIDE CONTROL adaptive electronically controlled damping and three selectable differential locks. Those systems give the G 63 genuine high-performance road and off-road capability beneath its upright luxury-SUV body.
There is no evidence in the reviewed sources that Carlex installed a separate engine-performance package for the G-Falcon. Its documented transformation is primarily visual, material, and artisanal. In other words, the vehicle retains the G 63’s performance foundation, but it is not documented as a higher-output version of the AMG SUV.

The G-Falcon can be described as capable because the underlying G 63 is capable. Its V8, adaptive damping, transmission, and locking differentials make it much more than a static sculpture.
Its reason for existing, however, is closer to collectible design than to lap-time optimization. The hand-finished roof, patinated leather, specialized coating, and four-year development process all point toward exclusivity and craftsmanship. A secondary report suggested that the vehicle is something to admire carefully rather than drive aggressively, but that is commentary—not an official restriction, mechanical limitation, or road-use prohibition.

The sensible conclusion is that the G-Falcon preserves the AMG G 63’s imposing mechanical foundation while changing the priority of the vehicle. The standard G 63 sells the appeal of extreme performance in a luxury SUV. The G-Falcon adds the appeal of singular authorship.
What does the G-Falcon cost?
No verified sale price is established by the reviewed sources. Online estimates should not be repeated as fact unless supported by a primary sale document, auction record, or reputable transaction source.
The same caution applies to claims about the car’s investment value. Its one-of-one status, unusual materials, and documented sale to a collector make it rare, but rarity does not automatically establish a market price or guarantee appreciation.
Carlex’s model page invites interested parties to contact the company about one-of-one vehicles. That should not be interpreted as an indication that the sold G-Falcon itself is available. It supports a narrower point: Carlex is presenting the project as a template for future bespoke commissions, not as a regular production model that customers can simply order from a standard configurator.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the G-Falcon works as automotive art
Many customized SUVs rely on a familiar formula: larger wheels, a carbon-fiber package, louder exhaust hardware, and a more dramatic color. The G-Falcon takes a different route. Its visual excess is organized around one central motif and supported by consistent material choices.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →The falcon roof provides the narrative centerpiece. The flowing lines in the cabin echo the exterior treatment. Patinated leather brings the idea of age and handwork inside the vehicle, while the brushed amber body finish and bespoke wheels keep the exterior from becoming a collection of disconnected ornaments.
That is why the project is more interesting than a list of expensive parts. Carlex is not merely making the G 63 flashier; it is attempting to give the SUV the qualities of a commissioned object—an identifiable design language, named artisans, a lengthy production story, and a level of singularity that cannot be reproduced through an ordinary options sheet.

The Bottom Line
The Carlex G-Falcon is best understood as a one-of-one collector automobile built around the Mercedes-AMG G 63—not as a faster factory variant. Its importance lies in the combination of a recognizable V8-powered performance SUV with hand-engraved metalwork, a falcon roof relief, patinated leather, precious-metal details, bespoke carbon-fiber components, and a four-year build story. The result is a G 63 whose most compelling specification is not its acceleration, but its singularity.
