Cannondale’s Bosch-powered carbon commuter is the Tesoro Carbon 1, a US-market e-bike with a 400Wh battery, a stated assist speed of up to 28mph, and a 16kg listed weight. It pairs a carbon frame with SRAM wireless 12-speed shifting and commuter equipment including lights, fenders, and rear pannier mounts. Cannondale’s current product page does not establish a launch date.
What is the Cannondale Tesoro Carbon 1?
The Tesoro Carbon 1 is Cannondale’s US-listed carbon commuter e-bike, model code C66124U. Cannondale says its Series 2 carbon frame is modeled after the Synapse endurance bike and lists the complete bike at 16kg. Specifications can change, so confirm the details for the exact model before buying.
Motor, battery, and assisted speed
The US Carbon 1 uses a Bosch Performance Line Sprint drive unit and a Bosch Compact Powertube battery with 400Wh capacity. Cannondale describes assistance up to 28mph and identifies the drive unit as a 28mph model. That is the manufacturer’s US product description, not a statement that the same assistance limit or legal classification applies everywhere.
The product page lists a Bosch 2A charger and a top-tube System Controller with mini remote. Cannondale does not establish a real-world range figure on the cited product information, so the battery capacity alone should not be treated as a mileage estimate.

Equipment for commuting and cargo
The Carbon 1 comes equipped for everyday riding rather than requiring a buyer to add basic visibility and weather protection. Cannondale lists a Lezyne headlight, integrated rear light, fenders, and rear pannier bars, along with hydraulic disc brakes and 700x35c Vittoria Terreno Zero tires.
For shifting, the bike has a SRAM X1 Eagle AXS wireless electronic rear derailleur, a SRAM GX Eagle AXS controller, and a 12-speed SRAM cassette. Cannondale also lists internally routed cables and a 700mm alloy handlebar.

The rear pannier mounts are described by Cannondale as supporting up to 8kg (17.5lb) per side. Treat that figure as the maker’s stated mount capacity: check the compatible rack or bag’s own limits and installation requirements, and do not assume every cargo setup has the same safe load.
Cannondale lists the bike as UL 2849 certified. This identifies a certification listed by the manufacturer; it does not replace checking local requirements or the documentation for the specific bike being sold.

How the US Carbon 1 differs from the EU Tesoro Carbon 3
Cannondale’s EU Tesoro Carbon 3 is a separate trim and market configuration, not another description of the US Carbon 1. Their published specifications differ:

Choose by the exact model name and market listing rather than assuming that Carbon 1 specifications apply to Carbon 3. The motor and assistance figures above are Cannondale’s 2026 product-page specifications; they should not be generalized into a universal legal speed limit.

Where to buy the US model
Cannondale’s US product page says complete-bike orders can be shipped only to authorized shops in the contiguous United States. An online order is routed to a selected retailer for assembly and pickup. The page estimates pickup commonly at about 10 business days, but that is not a guaranteed delivery time; check with the shop for current stock and timing.
The page displays a $15 e-bike battery recycling fee and says an additional California fee may apply. Prices, discounts, sizes, colors, availability, and applicable fees can change, so confirm them with the retailer and at checkout. Before ordering, verify that the listing is for model code C66124U and the size and configuration you want.

What to compare before choosing a commuter e-bike
For a useful comparison, match bikes sold in your market and examine the motor and its stated assistance limit, battery capacity, complete-bike weight, drivetrain, tire width, included commuting equipment, and cargo provisions. Also check frame fit and access, local service options, and current price. Range claims are meaningful only when their test method, bike setup, rider conditions, and geography are comparable.
