BMW confirmed four new Individual paint finishes for the 2025 M2: Java Green metallic, Voodoo Blue, Grigio Telesto Pearl Effect metallic and Twilight Purple Pearl Effect metallic. The U.S. announcement came on June 12, 2024, so these are no longer just leaked colors. They were part of a broader, market-specific paint update.
The four new Individual finishes

BMW lists all four as new M2 Individual paints in its U.S. announcement for the 2025 M2. BMW USA explains that pearl-effect paint uses mica flakes that refract light, which can make the color appear to shift with viewing angle; that is a general description of the finish category, not a specific assessment of these M2 paints. BMW Individual information notes that appearance in a visualizer may differ from the actual finish.
Other colors in the 2025 U.S. announcement
The four Individual additions are not the only colors BMW discussed. The U.S. release also names colors in the broader range, including Sao Paulo Yellow, Vegas Red metallic, Portimao Blue metallic, Skyscraper Grey metallic, Frozen Pure Grey metallic and Frozen Portimao Blue II metallic. BMW distinguishes these from the four new Individual finishes in that announcement.
Paint counts differ by market
BMW’s published totals are not a single universal specification. Its U.S. release says the 2025 M2 offers 14 finishes: three solid, seven metallic and four Individual. BMW’s global release also gives 14 finishes, but breaks them down as three solid, five metallic and six Individual. The different category counts underline why buyers should check the lineup for their market rather than assume the U.S. list applies everywhere.

What buyers should verify
- Market and model year: BMW says Individual paint availability varies by model. Ask a BMW Center which finishes can be ordered on the specific car in your country.
- Price and buildability: BMW directs customers to a BMW Center for current special-order pricing. Some paint and equipment combinations may require a buildability check.
- Actual appearance: A rendered image may not match the physical finish exactly, especially for effect paints; inspect the paint in person where possible.
- Current lineup: This is the 2025 announcement, not a claim about the current exhaustive M2 palette. BMW’s later M2 material includes Borusan Turkish Blue, and its 2026 M2 xDrive release reflects a later model-year lineup. The M2 CS is a separate variant and its paint description should not be mixed with this standard-M2 list.
BMW’s 2026 M2 xDrive release and the July 2026 BMW M article on M2 Individual colors show that the palette continued to evolve after the 2025 announcement.
