BMW later confirmed the launch. Its current India product page lists the scooter at ₹15.25 lakh ex-showroom; that is distinct from the ₹14.90 lakh launch price quoted in 2024. Current dealer stock, booking terms and delivery timing have not been verified, so contact an authorized BMW Motorrad retailer for availability.
What BMW announced about CE 04 bookings
In its 16 July 2024 announcement, BMW Group PressClub India said pre-launch bookings were open through select authorized BMW Motorrad dealerships. The company said the official launch would take place on 24 July 2024.

BMW’s 24 July 2024 launch release confirmed the launch. It described the CE 04 as a completely built-up unit (CBU) planned for select metropolitan cities, with deliveries scheduled to begin in September 2024. Those were launch-time plans, not confirmation of current stock or delivery dates.

BMW CE 04 performance, battery and range
BMW’s India launch release lists maximum output at 31 kW (42 hp), acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h in 2.6 seconds, and an electronically limited top speed of 120 km/h. It also specifies an 8.5 kWh net lithium-ion battery and energy consumption of 7.7 kWh/100 km. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results.
BMW gives a range of 130 km according to the World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC), a standardized test figure. It should not be read as a guaranteed everyday range in Indian riding conditions: actual range depends on conditions. BMW says the standard 2.3 kW domestic charging cable takes about 3 hours 30 minutes to charge from 0% to 80%. With an optional quick charger, BMW gives an approximate 65-minute 0–80% time at up to 6.9 kW. The result depends on the charging equipment and available supply; BMW also describes charging through a BMW Wallbox or public charging column.
BMW advises against using extension leads or power strips with the domestic cable. Confirm charging compatibility and installation requirements with a retailer or qualified electrician. Quick chargers, cables and other accessories may be market-specific; BMW lists them alongside luggage options such as a carrier, Urban Vario topcase and small Urban Collection side bag. Size and standard equipment
BMW’s India model information lists a curb weight of 231 kg and a seat height of 780 mm. Listed standard equipment includes a 10.25-inch TFT display with BMW Motorrad Connectivity, keyless ride, three riding modes, ABS, ASC, ECALL, an electronic reverser and storage. Where to check bookings, stock or a test ride
The 2024 booking announcement directed customers to authorized BMW Motorrad dealerships. It does not establish whether bookings are open now, whether a particular dealer has stock, or when a new order could be delivered. Contact an authorized retailer directly to ask about present booking terms, availability, test rides, delivery timing and the final on-road quote.
