There is no single best right-side performance control arm for every vehicle. The correct choice depends on the exact year, make, model, trim, suspension position, and ride height; right- and left-side arms may have different part numbers or geometry. The examples below show how to evaluate application-specific options—not a head-to-head ranking.
Start with exact fitment, not the word “performance”
Before comparing brands, identify your vehicle’s year, make, model, trim, and the arm’s position—front or rear, upper or lower. Also note whether the suspension is at stock height, lowered, or lifted. Ride-height changes can affect the geometry and adjustment range needed to achieve alignment.
Tell the parts supplier about the vehicle and its ride height, then confirm the match against the manufacturer’s current application information. A listing that names a model range may not establish fitment for every trim or suspension configuration. A retailer describes checking vehicle and ride-height details before matching an arm (Suspension.com’s control-arm guide).
Why the right and left arms may differ
Do not assume a right-side arm can be installed on the left, or that “right” means the same side in every market. Side-specific mounting angles, joint orientation, and geometry can make the parts distinct. Confirm the vehicle’s market convention and the part’s designated side before ordering. SuperPro explains why control arms may be side-specific (SuperPro).

For example, a retailer’s Audi Q5 listing identifies SPC 81392 as the right-hand part and 81391 as the left-hand part in a kit replacing upper links on both sides. Confirm the exact Q5 application before treating those numbers as a match (ECS Tuning’s listing).
What “performance” adjustment can—and cannot—do
For some modified vehicles, an adjustable arm helps correct alignment geometry. That is a specific application benefit, not proof that an arm universally improves handling. Whether an adjustment is useful depends on the vehicle, suspension changes, alignment targets, and intended use.

SPC 81382 for specified Audi applications
MAPerformance lists SPC 81382 as a front right upper control arm with camber and caster adjustment for 2017–2020 Audi A4, 2019–2020 Audi S4, and 2018–2021 Audi S5 applications. Treat those years and models as listing information, not a substitute for checking current manufacturer fitment and trim details (MAPerformance’s listing).
Rancho RS64501 for specified lifted F-150 applications
Rancho describes its RS64501 control-arm kit for 2009–2020 Ford F-150 applications as adding caster to aid alignment on lifted trucks. The cited product is a kit, not a right-side-only arm; verify the exact truck application and lift setup before purchase (Rancho RS64501).
