There is no single best Honda Accord for every buyer. For the current U.S. 2026 lineup, the LX is the lowest-priced trim, the Sport Hybrid is the least expensive hybrid, the EX-L Hybrid emphasizes cabin comfort, and the Touring Hybrid adds the most technology and comfort equipment. The right choice depends on the features you will use and the price you are willing to pay.
Which 2026 Accord trim fits your priorities?
Honda lists six U.S. trims for 2026. The starting MSRPs below exclude destination and other charges; dealer prices can vary, so they are not out-the-door quotes. Features are based on Honda’s published lineup descriptions. Honda’s 2026 Accord page is the place to check current availability and equipment.
| Trim | Starting MSRP | What it offers | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| LX | $28,395 | 192-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, CVT, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charger, and Honda Sensing features. | Lowest listed starting price with core features. |
| SE | $30,695 | Turbo engine, moonroof, 19-inch wheels, heated front seats, power driver seat, blind-spot information, and rear cross-traffic monitor. | Added comfort and driver-assistance features without switching to a hybrid. |
| Sport Hybrid | $33,795 | 204-hp two-motor hybrid system, 19-inch wheels, and 12.3-inch touchscreen. | Lowest listed price for a hybrid Accord. |
| EX-L Hybrid | $35,095 | Leather-trimmed seating, parking sensors, driver memory, heated side mirrors, and 17-inch wheels. | Cabin comfort and a less sport-oriented wheel setup. |
| Sport-L Hybrid | $35,495 | Leather-trimmed seating, 19-inch matte-black wheels, spoiler, and rear diffuser. | Hybrid power with sportier exterior styling. |
| Touring Hybrid | $39,495 | Google built-in, head-up display, Bose premium sound, heated steering wheel, and heated and ventilated front seats. | Buyers who will use its additional technology and comfort equipment. |
Prices are Honda’s listed 2026 starting MSRPs, excluding destination and other charges, as presented on its 2026 Accord page. They are not dealer quotes.
Choose between the turbo and hybrid powertrains
The LX and SE use a 192-hp turbocharged engine; the Sport Hybrid, EX-L Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid, and Touring Hybrid use Honda’s 204-hp hybrid powertrain. Honda’s Accord family page gives overview estimates of 29 city/37 highway mpg for the gas model and 41 city/46 highway for the hybrid. These overview figures are not a substitute for the exact trim’s current EPA estimate: Honda identifies the EX-L Hybrid at 51 city/44 highway, and trim-specific figures vary. Check the current Honda listing for the trim you are considering before estimating fuel savings.

If you want a hybrid at the lowest listed starting price, compare the Sport Hybrid with the gas SE based on the actual equipment and price difference offered locally. If comfort matters more, weigh the EX-L Hybrid’s leather-trimmed cabin and 17-inch wheels against the Sport-L Hybrid’s sport-oriented appearance. The Touring Hybrid’s additional equipment makes the most sense when you expect to use those features.
How to choose between trims
- Set your purchase-price limit. Compare the dealer’s full quoted price, not just the listed starting MSRP; the published prices exclude destination and other charges.
- Decide whether you want gas or hybrid power. The LX and SE are turbocharged; the four higher trims are hybrids.
- Prioritize equipment you will use. For example, the SE adds heated front seats and blind-spot information over the entry-level positioning, while the Touring Hybrid adds a head-up display, Bose sound, and heated and ventilated front seats.
- Compare the exact trim’s fuel-economy estimate and availability. Trim-specific mpg figures can differ from the family overview, and prices and equipment can change.
Is there a best Honda Accord year to buy used?
The available evidence does not establish one universally best used Accord model year. Complaint totals alone are not a reliability rate: without accounting for sales, mileage, and exposure, they cannot show how likely a particular car is to develop a problem. Treat complaint information as a reason to investigate a vehicle, not as a score or a definitive year ranking.

For a used Accord, assess the individual car: review its maintenance and repair records, arrange an independent inspection, compare its price and condition, and check open and completed recalls or campaigns using its VIN. In 2025, the Associated Press reported that Honda recalled certain 2023–2025 Accord Hybrids over a software issue that may cause loss of drive power. The report described 256,603 vehicles in the recall population and said Honda estimated 0.3% had the issue; those figures do not mean every vehicle was affected. Check the exact VIN with NHTSA’s recall lookup or Honda before buying.
