Neither bike can be named the more comfortable two-up choice from the available official specifications. The answer depends on the exact Pulsar 150 trim and whether the Apache RTR 160 is the 2V or 4V, as well as how the passenger fits and how the rear suspension behaves with both people aboard. Compare the specific versions on a ride with the passenger who will use the bike; seat-height and kerb-weight figures are not comfort scores.
First identify the exact versions
“Pulsar 150” and “Apache RTR 160” each cover different versions, so a comparison without trim and generation can be misleading. Bajaj’s 2026 Pulsar 150 brochure lists three trims. TVS publishes separate specifications for the Apache RTR 160 2V and Apache RTR 160 4V.

The table uses those current manufacturer specifications where available; it is a dimensional comparison, not a ranking of passenger comfort. The kerb-weight range for the 4V reflects different versions listed by TVS.

What the specifications can—and cannot—tell you
Seat height is not passenger-seat comfort
The figures above are overall seat or saddle heights; they do not give the height, contour, width, usable length or firmness of the passenger portion. A lower stated height does not establish that a passenger will sit more comfortably. Also, do not assume the Pulsar’s twin-disc trim shares the single-seat configuration specified for the SD and SD UG variants.
Suspension type and kerb weight do not settle the ride
The listed rear-suspension designs differ, but the cited official specifications do not provide an equivalent comparison of suspension response with a passenger and luggage aboard. Kerb weight by itself likewise cannot show how well either bike absorbs bumps under a particular load. Road condition, suspension condition, passenger and rider fit, and trip length all affect the experience.
Rank #2
- Ergonomic design: motorcycle seat cushion has a petal-shaped design, which provides enough space for your buttocks to distribute your weight, avoiding the discomfort or soreness of the buttocks caused by long ride
- Comfortable & breathable: the interior of the motorcycle seat pad is designed with a 3D-honeycomb structure, which can circulate a lot of air and allow a cool experience throughout your entire ride; the groove in the middle increases the breathability, which can keep dry, breathable and not sticky. Bring you extra comfort for a cooler ride
- Shock absorption: motorcycle gel seat cushion is made from a highly-elastic gel material inside, which can provide enough cushioning and shock absorption, providing much-needed relief to your hips and tailbone, and greatly reducing the numbness of long-term riding
- Anti-slip design: there are anti-slip particles at the bottom of the motorcycle seat cover, and a double fixing strap with an anti-fall hook design, so that you no longer worry about the easy sliding of the seat cushion
- Universal application: motorcycle gel seat pad are generally suitable for most motorcycles on the market, and are breathable in all seasons; foldable and easy to carry, allowing you to fully enjoy the fun of riding
Feature descriptions are not comfort evidence
Bajaj describes the Pulsar 150 TD as having a “premium sporty split seat” and “split grab rails for the pillion” on its product page. Those are manufacturer descriptions of features, not independent evidence that passengers find the seat more comfortable. The cited TVS pages specify suspension and geometry but do not make a directly comparable claim about passenger comfort.

A showroom sit or solo ride cannot answer how a particular pair will fare over the roads and distance they expect to cover. Arrange a test ride on the exact versions under consideration, with the passenger who will ride regularly.
Rank #3
- Enhanced Riding Comfort: Designed with a petal-shaped seating area that helps distribute pressure more evenly. Provides additional support for passengers and helps make longer rides more comfortable.
- Breathable Honeycomb Structure: Features a 3D honeycomb design with a center airflow channel to promote ventilation. Helps reduce heat buildup and improves riding comfort in warm weather.
- Gel Cushioning Support: Made with high-elasticity gel material that helps absorb road vibrations and bumps. Adds an extra layer of cushioning for a smoother passenger riding experience.
- Secure Anti-Slip Fit: Equipped with a non-slip bottom surface and adjustable fastening straps to help keep the cushion in place during riding. Easy to install and remove when needed.
- Universal & Travel-Friendly: Designed to fit most motorcycle passenger seats. Lightweight and foldable for convenient storage and transport, making it a practical accessory for daily rides and road trips.
- Confirm model year and trim. Check the Pulsar’s seat and trim configuration, and whether the Apache is a 2V or 4V. Do not substitute the older P150 for a Pulsar 150 trim in the 2026 brochure: Bajaj’s 2022 P150 launch release, for example, gives that model a 790 mm seat height and 1,352 mm wheelbase, a different specification set.
- Have the passenger assess the seat. Check its width, contour, usable length and firmness, then consider how it feels after a meaningful ride, not just a brief sit.
- Check passenger contact points. Have the passenger try the footpeg position and grab-rail reach, and assess whether they feel secure during braking and turns.
- Ride with a representative load. Use the actual passenger and, where practical, representative luggage. Pay attention to the rear suspension over the types of road the pair will use.
- Judge the whole journey. A short commute and a longer ride can expose different comfort issues. Use a ride of meaningful duration for the expected trip rather than deciding from dimensions alone.
Verdict: decide by the matched two-up ride
The specifications establish differences in dimensions, weight and rear-suspension design, but the official sources cited here do not establish which motorcycle is more comfortable for two-up riding. The useful comparison is between the exact trims, with the actual passenger, on representative roads. Choose the one that gives that passenger better seat support, secure contact points and a more comfortable loaded ride over the intended distance.
