Awaken describes its construction as insulated inner and outer shells separated by a thermal barrier; its published specifications also include a dry bath, 500W-plus solar and a 270Ah heated lithium battery. Those are manufacturer-listed details, not independent performance findings, and the exact equipment and weights should be checked on the unit you are considering.
What the MorningStar is—and what “dual-shell” means
Awaken RV lists the MorningStar as a molded fiberglass travel trailer, with a headline length of 23 feet, dry weight of 5,320 pounds and sleeping capacity for four. The full specification page gives an exterior length of 23 feet 11 inches. Awaken says the trailer has custom-molded insulated interior and exterior shells with a thermal barrier between them. That describes the construction; claims about resistance to rot, rust, delamination or weather, reduced maintenance, comfort and resale value are Awaken’s claims rather than independently demonstrated comparisons.

Awaken-listed dimensions, weights and capacities
These figures are published by Awaken. A trailer’s actual loaded weight and the tow vehicle’s ratings determine whether a particular pairing is suitable; published dry or wet figures do not substitute for weighing the specific trailer and checking the vehicle, hitch and axle limits.

Before towing, compare the actual loaded trailer weight and tongue load with the tow vehicle’s payload, hitch and towing limits, and confirm the trailer’s ratings and tire information from its labels and paperwork. Water, personal gear and installed options affect the load; the listed cargo capacity is not a substitute for checking the loaded unit.
Sleeping layout and bathroom
Awaken lists two bed configurations: twin beds measuring 33 by 79 inches, or an east-west queen measuring 80 by 60 inches. A U-shaped dinette converts to a sleeping area listed at 74 by 39 inches. The page lists four sleepers and a dry bath. Ask to see the exact floor plan and measure the bed arrangement in the particular build, especially if the queen configuration or dinette will be used regularly.

- A black-tank flush and dedicated sewer-hose storage.
For the power system, confirm which components are on the exact unit, how the solar and inverter are configured, and what is included in the sale. For tanks and waste handling, inspect the fittings and storage compartment; the listed hose storage does not establish the fit of any particular sewer-hose kit.

MorningStar and MorningStar-i are different models
Awaken lists the MorningStar-i separately from the standard MorningStar. The i model is identified with independent suspension and an off-road tire package; those features should not be assumed to apply to the standard trailer. Awaken’s model listing showed a $93,500 starting price for the i, while its dedicated page search result showed $94,400. That discrepancy makes a live written quote and current build sheet more useful than relying on a price seen elsewhere.
The standard MorningStar product page lists a starting price of $88,900. This is Awaken’s published starting price, not a guarantee of the price or equipment of a particular unit; confirm the current price, options, delivery charges and included equipment with the seller.

Warranty and owner documentation
Awaken’s resources page summarizes a transferable five-year warranty for the molded fiberglass shell and frame, three years for Awaken-installed systems and fixtures, and three years for factory-installed seals and gaskets. What to verify on the specific trailer
- Confirm the VIN, year, floor plan and whether the unit is a standard MorningStar or MorningStar-i.
- Check the weight and rating labels, axle and tire ratings, and actual loaded weight; match these with the tow vehicle’s payload, hitch and towing ratings.
- Confirm the chosen bed arrangement, usable sleeping dimensions and dry-bath layout in person.
- Get a written list of standard equipment, options and upgrades, especially the solar, battery, inverter and any EcoFlow kit.
- Verify the tank capacities and inspect access to plumbing, black-tank flush and sewer-hose storage.
